French manicure - highlights

How to properly do a French manicure at home? To get a neat French look on your nails, you need to carry out special preparatory procedures.

Preparation for the procedure

To prepare your nails for a manicure, you need to carry out a few very simple manipulations:

  1. Trimming option - old and rough skin is removed with special nail clippers, which should be as sharp as possible. Carefully remove the old skin, ensuring that the cut is smooth and uniform. What to do if you are not yet that experienced and have injured your skin? If you get the slightest cut, immediately disinfect the wound.
  2. Unedged option - this is the method that is most often used when doing a manicure at home.
  • In order to do an unedged manicure, you will need a cuticle softener and a wooden stick. The product is applied to the cuticle, after 5-10 minutes, using a stick, the skin around the nail moves to its base.
  • Then, using a nail file, the nails are given the desired shape. Usually, in order to get an elegant jacket, they are given a square or square shape to the floor.
  • Next, the nail plate is polished. This can be done at home using a special polishing file.

Now let’s take a closer look at how to properly make a French French coat at home.

Creating a French manicure

To properly and accurately apply French at home, you will need the following necessary things:

  • Special stencils (with their help you will get an elegant and clear design - French);
  • White varnish;
  • Peach, beige or pink varnish;
  • Special white pencil.

Now let's look at the stages of applying the coating to the surface of the nails.

Create a durable topcoat

How to make a neat French jacket? Let's look at this in more detail, because French manicure at home is quite simple, but it will require patience and skill from you.

French manicure is the most sophisticated method of nail design, which, when done at home, does not require any special skills. With such nails there is no shame in going to the theater and visiting, receiving visitors at work and appearing in a restaurant.

In addition to manicure, you can also treat your toenails in the same way.

French pedicure at home

It’s not too difficult to do a pedicure with a similar coating at home.

To carry it out at home, you will need the same tools as for a manicure. You also need to have a basin on hand, essential oil for quicker soaking of the skin of the feet, pumice stone or a special file for treating the feet, as well as a toe separator.

The stages of a pedicure at home are approximately the same as in the case of treating fingernails:

  1. The remnants of old varnish are removed from the nails;
  2. The nails are polished, then using a file they are given the desired shape;
  3. Either essential oil or salt is dissolved in the bath, and your feet blissfully soak in the warm and pleasantly smelling water until the skin is completely softened. This will take more time than a manicure, because both the skin of the feet and toenails are rougher than those on the hands.
  4. After steaming the skin, we remove the cuticle. To do this correctly, follow the recommendations given when describing the manicure.
  5. After all the above procedures, your toenails are ready to be decorated in the French style. How to do it right? Using the same stencils, only they should match the shape of your toenails.

In the same way, you need to make a neat white edge, then cover your toenails with beige varnish, and top with a fixer.

As you can see, doing a French manicure and pedicure correctly is not at all difficult. Here you need free time, desire and desire for beauty, which will pleasantly amaze those around you with your well-groomed hands and feet.

Health and beauty to you!

French manicure is considered classic, which is why girls and women prefer it more often than others. It looks great on nails of different lengths and shapes, and also suits all fashionable looks.

The history of the appearance of French manicure

Despite the name of manicure, it originates in the United States of America. About 35 years ago, the head of the famous brand of varnishes and manicure products “ORLY” Jeff Pink came up with a completely new type of manicure and a set of products for its creation. According to the story, the entrepreneur thus helped his friend the director to reduce the number of hours of shooting time that stylists spend changing manicures for a new shooting image. Feminine, sophisticated, natural manicure is ideal for all outfits and decorations. Subsequently, this method of painting nails is becoming increasingly popular and is increasingly appearing on models at Paris Fashion Week, which is why it is called “French manicure.”

General rules for performing French

French manicure in the classic version requires compliance with certain rules. If you do a manicure yourself at home, you need to consider the following details:

  1. A French smile is formed by determining the central axis of the finger, from which it is necessary to symmetrically extend curved smiles to the side ridges.
  2. It is necessary to designate the end points of smiles in advance.
  3. The length of the white part of a classic jacket should be at least half as long as the beige part.
  4. Do-it-yourself French must be created on pre-processed plates.

First method: French using stencils

You can make a French jacket at home using stencils and special blanks. The advantages of this technique for creating a manicure include ease of use, low cost of material and a guaranteed even bend. The disadvantage of paper blanks is that there is a small probability of varnish flowing under the stencil if its fit is not tight enough. Stencils are divided into two types:

  • disposable (paper or vinyl films with adhesive backing);
  • reusable (plastic or metal plates with a relief pattern).

For a French manicure, as a rule, the first version of stencils is used; they are more convenient when creating a manicure for yourself. The difference between vinyl and paper stickers is the tightness of their adherence to the plate. Vinyl provides reliable protection against varnish bleeding

You can make stencils yourself by making blanks from stationery tape.

French manicure is done at home with regular varnish. In addition to this you will need:

  • different abrasiveness;
  • cuticle remover;
  • stencils for manicure or blanks made from regular tape;
  • a set of varnishes of two or more colors.

Below are detailed instructions on how to step by step create the perfect traditional French jacket using a stencil:

It is easy to create a French manicure using this technology; it is important to monitor the tightness of the adhesive strip; the remaining stages of creating a manicure do not require specific skills from the girl.

Second method: French with a brush

You can learn how to paint French nails with a brush. Working with a brush is distinguished by its “jewellery” and low cost: you don’t need to spend money on buying stencils. However, you need to be able to draw French correctly.

Manicure brushes can be made with kolinsky or sable fur bristles and can have nylon bristles. It is more convenient to do French with a zero-thickness brush made of natural material.

For French brushes, flat brushes with medium-length bristles are ideal. Before use, it should be flattened on both sides to form a clear line. Uneven application should be removed with a thin brush, previously soaked in nail polish remover.

The brush with a beveled edge is universal, so it is also suitable for French manicure. Use such a brush to move from the periungual ridges to the middle of the nail, then they are connected by a line parallel to the base.

French is performed as follows:

  1. It is necessary to remove the cuticle, shape the nails and cover them with a base and beige polish.
  2. You should draw by applying the flat part of the brush to the plate towards its axis. You need to work with the brush abruptly, constantly changing the angle of its location. The smile is drawn along the natural contour. It is important to change the angle frequently and make the next brush stroke, slightly overlapping the previous one.
  3. Paint over the remaining free edge of the nail.
  4. Apply clear varnish.

To technically perform this French method, you will need practice.

Third method: French using dots

You can do a French manicure using dots. Its advantage is minimal financial costs, but creating a beautiful smile will take a lot of time to practice. To properly do a French manicure using dots, you do not need to purchase additional tools or materials. The technique of performing a manicure is to draw a smile as follows: a few drops of varnish are applied to any plastic or glass coating, after which the tip of the dot is dipped in varnish, then with the tool a dot is placed on the center line of the plate and two at the rollers, retreating a few millimeters from the edge of the nail. The next stage: you need to put many dots along an imaginary smile and connect them along a rounded line. Otherwise, the stages of manicure are identical to those presented above.

Fourth method: French pencil for French

Using a French pencil is not always convenient, as it is quickly washed off and moves onto the skin of your fingers throughout the day. However, French manicure with its use looks especially beautiful and natural.

Nowadays, wax-based pencils have become widespread; they last longer on the plates. In addition to them, there are also regular pencils without added wax.

You must first remove particles of dirt and dust from under the nails with a special tool, then moisten the pencil in water and draw the area under the nail with smooth movements, painting over its free edge. You can remove pencil marks from the pad with a cotton swab dipped in water. Only two coats of clear varnish should be applied to the plate on the other side.

Ideas for a French jacket

Currently, there are a large number of types of French:

  1. Classic French: manicure with a white tip and a beige base coat. This French look looks just as beautiful on short nails as on long ones.
  2. Colored French manicure. To create it, varnishes other than white and beige are used.
  3. French Millennium. A bright manicure using either glitter or glitter polish, usually placed at the tip of the plate.
  4. Lunar French is a manicure with a smile at the base of the nail.
  5. Gradient French, in other words, manicure using the ombre technique. In this case, the transition from one color is smooth, and not sharp as in the classic version.
  6. French chevron manicure. In the process of creating it, an acute angle appears in the center of the smile.
  7. A matte French manicure is created either with a matte varnish or by exposing a finished glossy French manicure to steam.
  8. Art French is decorated with various bright designs and patterns.
  9. Fan French. Using this technique, fashionable elements can be placed at the tip of the plate, for example rhinestones, or a lace pattern can be made.

The answer to the question of how to do a French manicure is stated above. This will require a little patience, practice and originality.

Now there is a huge variety of types of manicure and nail decoration. However, French manicure does not lose its popularity (although it also comes in completely different types). And in order for the jacket to please you longer and shine brighter, you should apply it with gel polish.

Kinds

First, you should decide on the look, because French manicure has a lot of them, and the right option can be chosen for any occasion. The most used types of French manicure include:

  1. Classical. A very popular option due to its versatility, simplicity and at the same time elegance. It uses soft, natural colors: the nail plate is covered in pink or clear, and the tip of the nail is highlighted in white. This option is perfect for both everyday wear and celebrations.
  2. Lunar. An inverted version of the classic version, it is also called inverse. There are two options for this manicure: not the tip of the nail, but the hole is highlighted with white, making it look like a crescent, or the cuticle area is repeated. The color scheme can also be completely varied; this manicure looks very original, which is why it gained its popularity.
  3. Hollywood. One of the brightest options for this manicure. It is achieved through the use of contrasting colors and painting the tip of the nail with various ornaments and designs.
  4. Art. This option can without a doubt be called the brightest among all. The colors can be any, the main rule is that they contrast with each other. In addition to contrast, various bright and shiny decorations are often used here: beads, rhinestones, figurines, etc. This manicure is ideal for bright girls who like to attract attention.
  5. On foot. The classic French manicure looks great not only as a manicure, but also as a pedicure, giving your feet a neat, well-groomed look. If desired, any type of jacket can be done both on the arms and legs, it all depends only on how comfortable it will be for the girl.

Advantages and disadvantages

Manicure with gel polish has a number of undeniable advantages, which more than sufficiently compensate for some of the disadvantages. Among these advantages are:

  1. Therapeutic effect. Often girls cannot boast of their own strong and beautiful nails; many have them very soft and flaky. Gel polish will help strengthen your nails and help them grow longer. Plus, the gel polish itself is completely safe; it does not contain allergic substances or impurities that harm the nails.
  2. Strength. This manicure itself is very strong and durable. With high-quality application, it will last 2-3 weeks, even if its owner often does household chores.
  3. Application at home. To get such a manicure, you don’t have to go to a professional; you can do everything yourself, the main thing is to purchase the necessary materials.
  4. Diversity. The range of colors for such a manicure is simply huge, and most importantly, you don’t have to limit yourself to one color, you can combine several options and decorate your nails in every possible way.

The disadvantages of this type of manicure include:

  1. Price. A manicure with gel polish at a salon will be quite expensive due to the high price of gel polish. However, you can compensate for this by doing a manicure at home.
  2. Special lamp. If you do a manicure yourself, you will have to purchase quite a lot of materials, including an ultraviolet lamp, since such a manicure will not dry on its own. The cost of the entire set will also be quite high, however, it will still be more profitable than constantly going to the salon.
  3. Thinning. With frequent use, gel polish can thin your nails, but this depends on the individual characteristics of each girl.
  4. Fake. Very often, fakes are sold under the guise of high-quality and expensive gel polish. It is unlikely that you will be able to determine this on your own, so if you have a familiar master, it is better to consult with him first.

Design ideas

There are a lot of ideas for designing a French coat with gel polish. Since the fashion for French manicure does not fade away, various new products are constantly appearing. More and more master classes on the use of various techniques are appearing. Therefore, we can say that the number of combinations is limited only by imagination. Among the brightest and most popular are:

  • Manicure with acrylic powder. It is very popular among girls with brittle nails because, among other positive characteristics, it strengthens nails well. This is a huge field for creativity; with the help of this powder you can create a neon manicure, with metallic glitter, matte and many other beautiful and original options.

  • Ombre. Another fashion trend for today. Moreover, it is present not only in manicure, but also in hair coloring, clothing, etc. This type of manicure is a smooth transition from one color to another, while you can make a double color spectrum or even use more colors, add drawings, stickers, stones or any other decorative elements.

You can use different shades of the same color or combine soft and bright colors, or you can try to combine completely different colors, for example, blue and red and see what happens.

  • Multicolored. A multi-colored manicure will look original when each nail has its own special color or design. The main thing is to choose colors and shades so that they combine with each other, forming a single composition. For example, when the long-awaited spring comes, you always want something bright. In this regard, why not make one nail a soft pink shade, another orange with sparkles, a third purple, a fourth blue, and your thumb yellow. The result is a very stylish spring design.

  • Dark. Dark manicure is always stylish and elegant. And it’s not just black, as many people think; manicures in dark colors can also be varied. For example, matte dark green, decorated with some kind of pattern, looks very beautiful. The same black can be diversified by adding red flowers to it. A deep burgundy color will always look trendy and universal.
  • Translucent. One of the types of manicure that is at the peak of fashion. It can be either plain or colored; most often it is used not for all nails at once, but for individual ones and imitates the texture of lace fabric.

It looks very stylish and will look especially good with a matching evening dress.

Necessary accessories

In order to create the perfect French manicure at home, first of all you need to buy the entire necessary set of tools for it. It includes:

  1. UV lamp. It is better to buy a more powerful lamp, because if it is not powerful enough, it will take much longer to dry.
  2. Orange stick.
  3. File.
  4. Nail degreasing agent.
  5. Cuticle softener.
  6. Base.
  7. Directly gel polish. Several colors, depending on wishes. A good alternative to white varnish can be a white or bleaching pencil. It is very easy to use, you don’t even need a stencil and after it your nails look very natural.
  8. Stencil to draw a smile line.
  9. Top.
  10. Gel polish remover.
  11. Brush. If you want to make a manicure with a pattern, you will need an additional thin brush.

Preparatory stage

So, when the entire manicure set is prepared, you can start preparing your nails. Do not underestimate the importance of the preparatory stage; proper preparation will allow you to enjoy a beautiful manicure for a long time. The preparatory stage includes the following steps:

  1. If there is any coating on the nails, it must be removed, then wash your hands thoroughly so that no nail polish remover remains.
  2. The cuticle is coated with a softening agent for 5-10 minutes, and then removed with an orange stick.
  3. If there are burrs, they must be removed. It is also necessary to remove the pterygium; how long the varnish will stay on the nail depends on its quality removal.
  4. Next, using a file, you can give your nails the desired shape and length. After filing, it is important to remove all dust.
  5. After all these procedures, you don’t need to do anything else with your nails. except to leave them alone for a while and let them dry.

Step-by-step instruction

After all the preparatory procedures, you can begin to apply gel polish. The application technique includes the following instructions:

  1. First a thin layer applied base and dries under a lamp.
  2. If a girl cannot boast of perfect nails, you can use camouflage gel polish. This is a gel that is applied to the nail (except for the regrown area) to make it smooth. Camouflage gel creates an artificial nail on top of a natural one, but does it as naturally as possible. Camouflage gels have a natural leather tone: beige, pink. After application, dry the nails under the lamp for several minutes.
  3. Next, a colored coating is applied to the regrown area., you can choose any shade, it all depends on your desire. Then the nails are dried again under the lamp for several minutes. If you are using a bright or dark varnish, it is best to cover the nail in several layers, this will give the color richness.
  4. After everything has dried You can apply the top coat and dry your nails again.
  5. If necessary, you can take a napkin and wipe the nail with a special product to remove the sticky layer, but now many varnish manufacturers make them so that no sticky layer is formed.
  6. After all procedures you can apply moisturizing oil, if it is not there, then you can use regular olive oil.

Without a doubt, moon manicure is especially popular now, so It would be relevant to consider the instructions on how to do it at home:

  5. Colored varnish. After this, you need to attach a stencil to the base, or simply carefully paint the nail with colored varnish, without touching the light area. It also dries under a lamp.
  6. Top. When everything is ready, all that remains is to cover the manicure with topcoat and dry it again in the lamp.

Watch the video below for a master class on how to create such a manicure.

French manicure was invented for actresses who had to quickly change their image on camera. The name does not come from the fact that this trend was invented in France, although it is a trendsetter. It just needed a nice definition, and it seemed natural to choose this one.

As befits French fashion, this type of manicure quickly conquered the whole world and is now considered a classic. How to do a French manicure so that the result pleases its owner? Where to begin? What tools and materials will be needed?

French manicure options

If yours are strong and long enough, you can make a French coat with regular varnish. This option is also suitable for those who like variety and repaint their nails every three to four days. If the nail plates are weak and often break off at the tips, it is better to apply gel polish.

But what if one nail breaks off, but the rest remain long? In this case, lengthening the nail with extension material will help. And then gel polish is applied to the transparent gel base, just like on the other fingers. In the case of heavily chewed, short nail plates or very thin, soft nails, extensions will be the solution.

It is best to contact a specialist, but sometimes there is nothing left to do but to do a French manicure at home yourself. In this case, it is necessary to prepare all materials and equipment.

Preparation of materials for coating

Depending on how the decorative coating will be performed, one of four sets will be required.

1) To make a French manicure with varnish, you will need:

  • varnish base;
  • varnish-haze;
  • white varnish;
  • top varnish.

2) To apply nail extensions using tips:

  • UV or LED polymerization lamp, buffer for removing unevenness.
  • A file with an abrasiveness of 100 grit, for sawing the structure.
  • Tips are white.
  • Glue for tips.
  • Primer (acid or acid-free primer).
  • Three-phase (it includes a gel base, a transparent building gel and a top top gel) or single-phase system for nail extension. If a single-phase system is used, then it is best to take a transparent gel.
  • Gel brush (usually number four).

3) Performing a French coat with gel polish:

  • UV or LED curing lamp.
  • Buff for polishing.
  • Degreaser.
  • Primer (acid-free primer).
  • Three-phase gel polish system (gel base, pale pink gel polish, white gel polish, top gel polish).

4) Performing a French coat with colored gel polish on a gel base with nail lengthening:

  • Forms for nail extensions.
  • UV or LED polymerization lamp, buff.
  • Ceramic cuticle pick.
  • File with 100 grit abrasiveness.
  • Gel base for extensions.
  • Designing for extension.
  • Gel brush.
  • Bottles of white and top gel polish.

Speaking about how to do a French manicure at home, it is necessary to remind you about careful preparation of your nails. The adhesion (adhesion) of the material and the duration of its wearing depend on this stage.

Nail preparation

The procedure for preparing nails for coating includes the following steps:

  1. Use a 180 grit file to shape the free edge.
  2. Use a buff to remove the sawdust.
  3. Using a pusher, push away the proximal roller (near the cuticle).
  4. Peel off the eponychium (skin).
  5. Cut off the burrs with tweezers.
  6. Use a file (180 grit) to process the lateral (side) ridges if the skin on them is rough.
  7. Degrease the nail plate.

Performing French varnish

The procedure for applying varnish includes the following steps:

  1. Applying the base.
  2. Applying a mist (pale pink polish that gives your nails a healthy, beautiful color).
  3. Drawing a smile. The varnish dries quickly, sometimes it is not possible to brush the same place twice, correcting the smile line. This should be taken into account when choosing how to do a French manicure - with gel or varnish.
  4. Top varnish coating.
  5. If desired, you can coat the French coat with drying varnish.

The disadvantage of varnish coating is the need to wait until it is completely dry. An additional difficulty may be drawing a smile. To make all smiles look the same, you need a certain skill. Using paper sticker forms helps: to do this, they are glued onto a dried base layer and, after applying the white tip, removed without waiting for the varnish to dry. If you delay removal a little, a surface film of dried varnish will form and the border will turn out torn.

What to choose - gel or gel polish?

How to do a French manicure so that it lasts a long time? For natural nails use gel polish. It is designed to last two to three weeks, then it is removed and the coating is reapplied. And the extension gel is periodically adjusted. What to choose is up to the housewife.

If you need to lengthen your nails a little, the best way is to choose a gel. It has a rigid structure and lasts a long time. It is unlikely that you will be able to carry out competent extensions on your own without prior training. But if you use tips, you can do it yourself. The main thing is to purchase products from trusted manufacturers in professional stores.

Performing a French gel nail extension

The procedure looks like this:

  1. Prepare your nails. File off the entire free edge, push back the cuticle with a ceramic hoof, clean the nail bed from adhering skin, remove the oily shine with a buff, wipe the nails with alcohol.
  2. Pick up the tips and glue them.
  3. Degrease your nails.
  4. Apply primer.
  5. Apply a thin layer of base only to the natural nail (if the system is single-phase, apply it onto the nail with rubbing movements of the brush, moving away from the cuticle and sides of the nail). Polymerize in a UV lamp with a power of 36 W - 2 minutes, in LED - as required by the manufacturer of the materials (but not all extension gels can be polymerized in LED lamps).
  6. Apply the building gel to the nail and tip, turn your finger over and wait a little for the gel to form an arch. It should be like a large drop, the convex surface should be smooth. When this happens, place your hand in the lamp. Polymerization - two minutes.
  7. Remove the dispersion layer and use a 100 grit file to shape the nail. Most likely, you will have to trim the sides of the free edge, remove excess material from the sides of the nail in the nail bed area, and remove excess thickness from the tip.
  8. Top gel coating. In the case of a single-phase system, simply paint the nail with gel as with regular varnish. Polymerization - from two to three minutes.

If you need a colored tip, the operations change slightly.

Making a colored jacket on a gel base

How to do a French manicure to lengthen your nails and create colored tips? Here you will need extension forms. After preparing the nails for extensions (or one nail that has broken off), apply a primer and base coat. Polymerize and put on a paper form.

After polymerization, the extension is made with a transparent building gel for extensions. Removing the dispersion and filing does not differ from the standard procedure for extensions.

Further application of French gel polish does not differ from the usual method used on natural nails.

How to do a French manicure with gel polish

Execution order:

  1. Nail preparation (hygienic manicure, shaping).
  2. Removing the natural shine from nails with a buff (nails should become matte).
  3. Degreasing.
  4. Primer.
  5. Applying a base coat and curing in a lamp (usually this operation takes two minutes in a UV lamp, and 30 seconds in an LED lamp).
  6. Haze application and polymerization.
  7. Drawing a smile: remove the dispersion layer from the nails with alcohol, stick on stencils and draw a smile. Polymerize in a lamp. Remove stencils.
  8. Applying topcoat and polymerization (usually this operation takes three minutes in a UV lamp, and from 30 seconds to 1 minute in an LED lamp).

When applying gel polish, it is better to both apply and polymerize the material one finger at a time. This way there will be no streaks on the side bolsters. You should hold your hand in the lamp without turning it.

If you take your time and do everything carefully, then everything will work out and the question of how to do a French manicure yourself will no longer arise.

Some girls believe that gel nail extensions harm their own nails. I myself once thought so, until I decided to study this issue more carefully. It turned out that your own nail is nothing more than dead cells of the nail plate. The nail cannot breathe, which means that covering the plate with a gel coating will not in any way affect the so-called “breathing”.

The second misconception is that only natural nails are in fashion. Of course, if your master does not do gel nails well enough, then it is better to leave them natural. But when comparing a beautiful manicure on natural and artificial nails, the vast majority of respondents will prefer the second. Therefore, if you want to wear gel artificial nails, wear them for your health.

Well, this lesson with step-by-step photographs will be devoted to how to make a laid-out French gel at home.

To make a laid out French gel at home, you will need the following materials and tools:

  • primer;
  • gel base;
  • glossy top with a sticky layer;
  • dehydrator (removes the sticky layer, degreases the nail plate);
  • camouflage gel;
  • white gel;
  • universal gel (with a purple tint, which when dried in a lamp does not give a yellowish tint);
  • flat brush for applying gel;
  • a flat brush for removing excess gel from the free edge;
  • file for filing artificial nails (100/100 grit);
  • buff for polishing the nail plate;
  • ultraviolet lamp (36 W) for drying.

Step-by-step lesson “How to make a laid-out French gel at home”

1) If you already had extended gel nails, then you need to prepare them for correction: remove the colored gel polish, remove detachments, treat the nail plate in the hole area, file the sinuses and give the nail the desired shape. If you are extending nails for the first time, then first the nail plate of the natural nail is filed, prepared for extension, then the nails are extended into forms, dried, and given the desired shape. At the beginning of laying out the jacket with gel, the hand looks something like this.

2) To ensure good adhesion of the artificial material to the natural nail, treat the nail with a primer. I use an acid-free primer, it is convenient and safe if the liquid gets on the cuticle.

3) Then apply a gel base to the nail plates. This will ensure a good fit of the gel to the nail plate and protect against detachments and chips. When applying, try not to flood the cuticles, otherwise the manicure will look untidy.

4) The base needs to be dried in a lamp for 2 minutes.

5) Now take a flat brush and apply camouflage gel to the nail 2/3 of its length from the cuticle. The free edge area should remain uncovered. If the gel has flowed onto this area, apply the excess gel with a second flat brush, forming a smile area.

6) It is better to lay out each nail separately and bake it in a lamp for 2 minutes so that the gel does not have time to spread and does not flow onto the cuticle and side ridges.

7) Now wipe the brush with a dehydrator and take the white gel.

8) We place it only on the area of the regrown edge. Bake in a lamp for 2-3 minutes.

9) When all the nails are ready and well dried, close the jars of gel. The next step is filing the nails, and if nail dust gets into the gels, they will lose their quality properties. We treat the nail plates with a dehydrator (moistening a cotton sponge in it), removing the sticky layer.

10) File your nails in the following sequence. First, we go through the side areas, removing possible sagging and giving the nails direction. Then we use a file over the entire surface, file well the sinuses (areas around the cuticle), and then the free edge.

11) After work, remove dust from the nails with a dehydrator and cover them with a thin layer of universal gel to make the manicure more scratch-resistant. Dry your nails in the lamp for 2 minutes.
