Problem skin care at home. Do I need to buy cotton swabs and discs? II. What should be cosmetics for problem skin

The skin reflects the state of our body. Problematic skin can tell us about hormonal disorders, a decrease in immunity, a lack of vitamins and various diseases are also inevitable. Moreover, such skin brings a lot of disappointment to its owner, especially if it is a face. Now let's try to define what the term "problem skin" is. After all, shiny skin, oily skin cannot be immediately called problematic .. because this is a natural process - fat protects the skin from dryness and aging. And this does not mean that this type of skin does not require careful care and cleansing, moreover, it is necessary to take care of it daily.

It is a completely different matter if your skin is rough, dense, with a greasy fatty coating on it. This skin has increased sebum secretion, enlarged pores, many black dots, which are called comedones. They occur with poor skin care. And it will be very little if you just wash yourself and anoint yourself with cream. It is advisable to regularly make steam baths for such skin and it is recommended to make masks from kefir or yogurt, applying the mask for 10-15 minutes before washing, this procedure will help increase the acid barrier of the skin, which will prevent microbes from spreading.

When sebum does not come to the surface of the skin, it hardens and turns into a plug - a breeding ground for harmful bacteria. White blood cells come out to fight it, but inflammation begins. And there is a problem - acne. Most common in teenagers. But this is far from a pattern - such acne can appear in girls at any age. What is the reason for their appearance? Most often, this is precisely a failure in the hormonal system, because. if the production of male hormones increases, then this entails the release of sebum and the formation of acne. Further, it may be a change in metabolism, because. those girls who like to diet are often prone to acne. Therefore, it is very important to eat right, consume food rich in zinc, vitamins of groups B, A, C, D, and of natural origin. Zinc can be found in seafood.

Such skin appears due to external and internal causes, therefore, it immediately indicates a malfunction in the functioning of internal organs .. this may be a deviation in the work of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, intestines, and at the same time, toxins and toxins undigested by the body are excreted by the skin. And as a result, rashes appear - acne, pimples, itching, peeling, age spots, freckles and much more ..

The most troublesome skin is prone to inflammation and rashes. Outwardly, it looks worse than dry or sensitive skin. To solve this problem, especially acne, it is advisable to contact a specialist to find out their cause, and to identify the optimal path to healthy and beautiful skin.

When blood circulation is disturbed in problematic skin, this leads to rosacea. This disease is characterized by sensations of itching, burning, inflammation, redness. Such skin immediately loses its elasticity and firmness. The reason for this may be the consumption of too spicy food, alcohol, smoking, climate change, sun, stress. And this can lead to venous congestion. It is necessary to strengthen the walls of blood vessels, normalize the pressure in them, microcirculation using various procedures. Treatment should be comprehensive and include, in addition to the effects on the skin, treatment with drugs and diets.

Another disease is demodicosis, in which mites live on the skin - iron glands. The problem lies precisely in their numbers. Acne, pimples, dermatitis and other skin blemishes are often accompanied by these mites. That is why it is very important to address the deterioration of the skin. This will avoid serious consequences and start timely treatment. Problematic skin will cease to be such if the cause is identified in time and addressed.

Care for problem skin

All care comes down to cleansing the skin of accumulated sebum, impurities, enlarged pores that become clogged and immediately inflamed, forming blackheads all over the face. Caring for such skin has its own characteristics - plaque on it makes the skin less receptive to normal washing. Yes, and hot water only enhances the activity of the sebaceous glands, the expansion of the excretory ducts, which provokes even more sebum secretion and an increase in pores.

When caring for such skin, it is necessary to use toilet soap or gel, which is designed specifically for problem skin. Apply with massaging movements.

When caring for problematic skin, it is effective to increase the acid barrier of the skin, which prevents the spread of germs. You can help lactic acid products - kefir, serum, applied to the face before washing for 15 minutes. It is also recommended to acidify the water for washing with table vinegar or a pinch of citric acid. After washing, it is advisable to wipe your face with an ice cube and dry it with a soft towel.

After each washing, it is desirable to use various means - cleansing, drying, disinfecting, tightening pores, lotions and tonics containing zinc oxide and salicylic acid. You can prepare an eau de toilette consisting of boric acid, hydrogen peroxide, alum and an infusion of herbs with astringent and drying action - St. John's wort, horsetail, cornflower, sage, coltsfoot, calendula, mountain ash, calamus, nettle, etc. you can mix this infusion with a spoonful of vodka and wipe your face. Often, from the use of soap and alcohol, the skin begins to redden, peel off. Then it is necessary to soften it - instead of fatty creams, use hydrogels. They soothe the skin, because. they contain a lot of moisture. This emulsion is applied in the morning on clean skin and rubbed with patting movements.

If comedones form on the face, then care requires a cosmetic cleansing of the face in the beautician's office. Also, deep cleansing of the skin at home is one of the most important conditions for caring for problem skin. It is achieved with exfoliants and special masks - they exfoliate and dissolve dead epidermal cells, which are a favorable environment for the multiplication of various types of bacteria, and give the skin a smooth and healthy look.

Doing peelings, it is necessary to take into account the fact that they are of 2 types: chemical and mechanical (scrubs). Scrubs are made up of very fine, solid additives that break off hardened skin flakes as they roll under them. Chemical peels dissolve dead cells thanks to acid - fruit or alpha hydroxy acids: lactic, malic, citric. Many peels contain enzymes derived from fruits such as kiwi, papaya, and peach. The frequency of exfoliation should not exceed 1-2 times a week - more frequent exposure can lead to stimulation of the sebaceous glands, which can make the skin greasy.

For deep skin cleansing special face masks that removes strong impurities from the skin and frees the pores. The main ingredient of such masks is any clay - blue, red, black, yellow. Clay, being a strong absorbent, absorbs fatty compounds from the surface of the skin. Other elements of masks are acids or enzymes, antiseptic additives, and ingredients that regulate the process of sebum secretion and the level of skin hydration.

Before a mask or peeling, it is necessary to wash well with the help of the product, wipe the face with lotion or tonic, then the product is thickly applied to the skin in circular massage movements from the center of the face to the edges. Peeling remains on the face for three minutes and after the time has passed, the face is washed with warm water and wiped with tonic.

In the care of problem skin, steam baths several times a month help well, best of all in the evening before bedtime. Under the influence of hot steam, the skin pores are cleared of blackheads, warmed skin is better exposed to other cleansers that tighten enlarged pores and relieve inflammation. self-confident about appearance.

Problem skin treatment

Problem - acne.

The topic of problematic skin is very often described in magazines, on TV, in health articles. After all, the condition of the skin is highly dependent on the state of the whole health of a person. Problematic skin can be a sign of a disease of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, when toxins and toxins begin to be excreted through the skin. The lack of vitamins and microelements also leads to skin problems. The most relevant is the treatment of problematic facial skin, namely rashes, which can be very different: age spots, acne, peeling, acne, seborrhea.

acne known to any teenager, it is at this age that the maximum number of requests for help to a cosmetologist or dermatologist is noted. Acne occurs due to clogging of the sebaceous glands with dead cells and sebum. In the air, the particles of fat darken, and black dots appear. If suddenly there is an infection, then inflammation immediately occurs. The formation of a boil is serious, after the opening of which, scars may remain. Chronic acne is called acne, which has certain stages and requires mandatory treatment.

Acne is formed only on those areas of the skin where there are sebaceous glands. This is the face, upper back and chest. Genetics play a big role in the development of acne. Therefore, proper skin care is necessary, especially during puberty; and it is also not recommended to use cosmetics containing vaseline and lanolin, fatty creams.

You can not touch your face with your hands, you need to get rid of such a habit, even if it itches very much. You need to try not to use decorative cosmetics, because. it clogs pores. Use alcohol-free lotions and tonics and emulsion-type creams. The cream must be taken with UV protection. Cosmetics should contain moisturizing, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory components. Apply night cream 2 hours before bedtime and be sure to blot the rest of the cream with a napkin.

You need to try to change bed linen more often. Or at least pillowcases. At least once a week, preferably more often. After washing, it is necessary to iron bed linen at a high temperature. Or even take it to the dry cleaners.

Do not let pets on the bed. You can't touch them with your face. If you wear glasses, then disinfect the parts that come into contact with your face. The same goes for any sponges. It is enough to wipe with alcohol lotion. Drink vitamin complexes.

Avoid stress, be less nervous. More often acne come from stress.

Be outdoors more, walk. Best of all, long walks in parks or outside the city, away from city roads, where there is dust.

Smoking greatly affects the appearance of acne. Do not start or immediately stop smoking and try to be in cigarette smoke as little as possible.

Do not drink strong tea and coffee. They stimulate the production of the stress hormone cortisol. Replace them with green tea, peppermint infusion, carrot-beet or nettle juice.

You need to feel your body. If, for example, a new face mask pinches your skin, wash it off immediately, despite the fact that the beautician recommended it to you as the best. Don't let anyone touch your face with dirty hands. If the beautician wants to do a cleaning, make sure that he does not take off his gloves and wipes the skin area with alcohol all the time.

If there is even a drop of inflammation on the face, in no case do not use scrubs, otherwise the infection will spread throughout the face. It is better to use peeling. After washing, try to wipe your face with a soft towel, do not leave the water to dry, because. this greatly dries the skin and disrupts water metabolism, the same applies to the whole body.

Many people, regardless of age and gender, have problematic skin. Difficulties include too oily type of dermis and acne. The skin, unlike other organs, is most susceptible to external factors. Most often, inflammation occurs in the sebaceous glands, which have an unpleasant feature of clogging. Combination and oily skin requires an individual approach aimed at addressing specific problems.

Treatment of acne with ultraviolet rays

  1. Ultraviolet rays disinfect and destroy harmful bacteria. The method is relevant only if you sunbathe at the “right” time. Specialists in the field of dermatology recommend sunbathing at 09.00-10.00 and 16.00-17.00 hours.
  2. Before starting UV treatment, consult a dermatologist. The doctor will give precise recommendations on how much you should be in the sun. Neglecting the advice of a specialist, you can get burns. Injuries, in turn, will provoke even greater skin problems.
  3. Do not assume that the solarium also has a beneficial effect on the epidermis. This statement is erroneous. Artificial UV light does not heal skin lesions or remove pus. On the contrary, it helps to reduce the immunity of the affected epidermis.

Important!
Please note that when taking a course of antibiotics, any procedures using UV rays are contraindicated.

Elimination of acne with pharmaceutical products

  1. "Vizin". To make a pimple less noticeable, you can resort to simple medications that are designed to relieve inflammation from the eyes (like Vizin). Use a cotton swab dipped in the composition, attach the disc to the affected area. Wait 15 minutes, repeat the procedure several times.
  2. Aspirin. Grind 2 tablets of acetylsalicylic acid into powder, mix with drinking water so that a slurry is obtained. Next, apply the composition to the inflamed areas, soak for 1 hour. For best results, experienced professionals recommend performing the procedure before going to bed, leaving the product overnight. After waking up, the redness will decrease significantly.
  3. Hydrogen peroxide. Mix 20 gr. brewer's yeast with 30 ml. hydrogen peroxide (the concentration of the active substance should not exceed 6%). Bring the mixture to a creamy mass, apply locally to the inflamed areas, wait for it to dry. Remove excess with paper towels, wash off the formed crusts in the morning. Chlorhexidine is considered an analogue of peroxide, the technology of use is identical.

Facial cleansing from blackheads

Cosmetic patch. It is not recommended to remove acne with your fingers at home. However, if you decide to resort to such an adventure, carefully sanitize your hands or work with gloves.

Use a directional patch to eliminate blackheads. The problem is that it cleans the pores only superficially, without affecting the lower layers of the dermis.
After the procedure, do not rush to squeeze out blackheads on your own. Use antiseptics in the form of a liquid (peroxide, vodka, alcohol, etc.), treat problem areas with the product. The composition will do all the work for you: it will open the pores, cleanse and disinfect the sebaceous ducts.

Professional face cleaning. To conduct a deep and effective facial cleansing, you need to resort to the help of a beautician. The first thing the specialist will do is apply a mask that will draw out the impurities.

This will be followed by heating the epidermis with steam with the release of ions that disinfect the pores. Next comes the mechanical method of removing kamendons with the help of fingers, without the formation of scars on the skin.

Finally, the face is treated with high-frequency currents and a restorative mask is applied. Upon completion of the procedure, the pores will expand for several days, then take their original position. Cosmetic cleaning is recommended to be carried out no more than 1 time in 2 months.

  1. In adolescence, many face difficulties with regards to the condition of the skin of the face. To eliminate discomfort, you need to choose the right epidermis care products.
  2. Do not teach your child from an early age to cosmetic creams unnecessarily. Otherwise, as you get older, the problems will only increase.
  3. All sorts of "adult" cosmetics clog the sebaceous glands of a young organism, lead to early wrinkles and more serious consequences.
  4. Choose light herbal infusions for rubbing your face. Refuse hard scrubs, peels, masks, aggressive tonics (with aspirin, coal, etc.).

Folk remedies for problem skin

Video: 3 super remedies for problem skin

Beautiful skin without acne is not only one cream, one cleanser and one cleansing from a beautician. This is a whole set of rules with which you can keep your face clean without much spending and worries. Welcome to the cat!

I put together a set of these rules myself, based both on advice from the Internet and on my own experience. It turned out to structure them into two large groups:

1. Facial hygiene.

2. Requirements for caring cosmetics for problem skin.

Let's start.

I. Facial hygiene.

Facial hygiene, especially if the skin is problematic, is not limited to the area of \u200b\u200bthis very face and extends to hands, hair, clothes and even objects that we bring to the face and that come into contact with it.

Rule number 1: DO NOT CRUSH ACNE, ACNE AND COMEDONA, DO NOT PICK THE FACE!

Forgive me for Caps Lock, but this is the most important and well-known rule for everyone, well, everyone just breaks it. There are many reasons: habit, nerves, illiteracy. Not everyone understands that squeezing a newly appeared pimple with dirty hands in a public toilet is a chance to bring on the face, in addition to acne bacteria, also Staphylococcus aureus, for example. That, squeezing out a large pimple, no matter how hard we try, we press not only outward, but also inward. Many people know how the contents of a pimple, sorry for the unpleasant detail, literally shoots under pressure. Similarly, it can shoot under the skin, spreading bacteria, inflammation and pus where they might not be. It's the same with blackheads: a popped blackhead is almost 100% guaranteed to be a pimple.

Even understanding all this, we continue to find excuses and push: " Well, it’s small, shallow, I’ll squeeze it out with clean hands, and the wound will heal quickly". Once it will work, but the habit will remain.

There is also a nervous habit of pressing, when a person is able to pick a healthy face into the trash, because he thought he had a pimple somewhere.

How to deal with it? Awareness, willpower + character, auxiliary measures such as long nails that do not allow oneself to mock oneself.

Known rule: you squeeze one out - three pop up. Therefore, DO NOT PRESS . Washed, smeared with something useful and rest.

Rule number 2: You must, you must wash your face in the morning and evening ...

Now half the acne owners will yell at me: " What do you think, we messed up some? Yes, we wash our faces 5 times a day!". Hush, hush. You know, but there are those who do not know. Let's think about them too.

So, we get up in the morning and wash ourselves with a product that suits our skin type. In the evening, remove makeup with a suitable product (micellar water, hydrophilic oil) and wash your face again. We do not sleep in cosmetics! If something more serious than powder was applied, we do not neglect special means for removal - ordinary gel and water will not take them, and then we will wonder where the black dots and clogged pores come from.

An important nuance of washing is the temperature of the water. . Water should not be cold and hot, it should not freeze or, conversely, steam our face. All this irritates problematic skin and leads to congestion. The water should be warm, slightly close to cool.

Can you shower more often? According to the need and possibility - it is possible. It is only important not to overdry the skin.

Rule number 3: remove everything dirty from the face.

This is a rule that should be brought to such a good healthy paranoia.

Don't touch your face with your hands that have not been washed with soap just now.

We do not allow hair to face . Hair is always dirtier than the face - they are washed, as a rule, less often, they are smeared with a balm, which, although useful for the tips, can clog pores, hair clings to itself a lot of dust, dirt, exhaust gases. And all this touches the face, tickles it, I want to scratch my cheek or forehead with unwashed hands ... No, no, no! We remove the bangs, collect the ponytail, bagel or pigtail. There are tons of beautiful hairstyles without facial hair. Speaking of balms: it is better to wash your body in the shower after you have already washed off the balm and wrapped your hair in a bun. Many people suffer from acne on their back precisely because the hair balm clogs their skin pores in this area.

Wash your hat and scarf as often as possible , sweater with collar. It's a pity? And the face is not a pity? All this touches the face and for weeks, months collects dead skin cells, sebum, sweat, bacteria, dirt. When you begin to realize this, it becomes simply scary to touch your face with such things. The same goes for pillow cases and face towels. I change my pillowcase once a week, and I abandoned the reusable towel a long time ago in favor of disposable napkins.

My more often everything that touches the face : makeup brushes, sponges, beauty blenders, powder puff. It's also a good idea to spray them with chlorhexidine. We wipe the phone, sunglasses, keyboard, mouse with the same chlorhexidine - we constantly touch them with our hands, it's scary to imagine how much there is. Well, about cosmetics samples in the store, I think it’s not worth explaining.

Rule number 4: remove excess fat)))

Matting napkins - a true loyal friend of those who fight for clear skin.

Everyone loves a matte face, and everyone considers a greasy, shiny nose and forehead to be ugly. But this is not only ugly, but also dangerous. Do you remember where acne bacteria live and what they eat? That's right, sebum. More sebum - more food for bacteria - more bacteria themselves. Therefore, instead of powder, which essentially only masks sebum secretions, I advise you to use a matting napkin. It's simple, it's hygienic, it doesn't damage makeup. And there is no place for bacteria to live and thrive.

II. What should be cosmetics for problem skin.

Here we divide the rules into categories of products: washing, toning, moisturizing and treatment.

1. How to wash?

The cleanser should first of all match the type of skin (dry, oily, normal, combination). We do not wash oily skin with light foams for dry skin - they will not clean it. We do not torment dry skin with domestos for oily.

Washing for problem skin should:

- clean pores well

- do not dry or irritate the skin

I must say right away that those who hope only by cleansing to turn problematic skin into clean are mistaken in the most terrible way. The cleanser has so little contact with our skin in duration that it is simply stupid to rely on it. Well, we cleared the skin, and then what? If nothing else is done, sebum will still be produced, and exfoliation will still occur in slow motion. Even good results from cleansing in my experience are only temporary.

So after all, how to understand that washing cleansed the pores well? Take a macro photo of the wings of the nose before and 5 minutes after washing. If the black dots are visibly lightened or disappeared altogether - congratulations, you have found your ideal in cleansing the pores. If they stick out on the face, as before - alas, the search for the ideal will have to be continued.

How to understand that the product does not dry or irritate the skin? Again, we compare before and after, but we rely more on sensations: if the face is not tight, peeling does not appear, wrinkles are not more pronounced, there is no redness - excellent. If there is, we throw out such washing as soon as possible or, at worst, use it to wash floors. It will only make things worse for our skin. Skin is really smart. You dried her - she developed more sebum. They dried it out a lot - uuuh, she will try her best, you will shine like a pancake in 40 minutes! So do not tease the skin and do not dry it.

What ingredients are good for problem skin? Let's start with the ones that aren't good. I will never buy a gel for washing even the most expensive company, if it contains Sodium laureth sulfate or God forbid Sodium lauryl sulfate(better known as SLES and SLS). Even scarier Ammonium lauryl sulfate(ALS) and Ammonium laureth sulfate(ALES). Without going into details at the moment, I’ll just say that from my own experience I’ve been convinced more than once that the SLS face wash always dries the skin, always irritates it, and always negates the beneficial effect of other ingredients. I only buy gel cleansers with mild cleansers, such as Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Decyl polyglucose.

Useful ingredients include:

- salicylic acid(aka BHA, aka salicylic acid)

- fruit acids(they are also AHA: lactic, glycolic, tartaric, malic, citric acids, respectively)

- plant extracts: witch hazel, tea tree, calendula, chamomile, pumpkin, tomato and more

Miscellaneous ingredients that I can't think of a common name for: birch tar, azulene, panthenol, triclosan, zinc, etc.

It is very good if in the composition you see the absence of aggressive detergent components and the presence of something useful.

2. Lotions, tonics, toners.

Things that many people neglect. But in vain. Tonic, toner, lotion will not make a special weather on the skin (although some are capable of it), in any case they will soothe it after washing and bring it into balance before applying other products. Most creams and pharmaceutical products for acne are recommended to be applied at least 15 minutes after washing, on dried and calmed skin. Tonic speeds up this process, prepares the skin for the following products.

Basic requirements for tonics for problem skin:

- lack of alcohol(alcohol dries, but about drying the skin, see above)

- the presence of useful components(see again above)

Today's trendy hydrolats and hyaluronic waters perfectly tone up.

How to understand that the tonic is suitable: the skin calms down after it, the color becomes more even; there is no feeling of stickiness, film. All! Nothing else is required. If the tonic does more - you are fabulously lucky, grab three more bottles)))

3. What and how to smear?

The most difficult subtopic. Because it happens that the cream has a good composition, but it does not work. Or the composition is bad, but it works some miracles with the skin. Or he works miracles for everyone, but makes a frog out of you. Or vice versa. Therefore, it is most difficult to talk about some rules for long-term effects. But I will try)

For problematic skin in general light textures preferred . The gradation of textures from light to dense is as follows:

- gel

- cream-gel

- cream

- ointment

The denser the product, the more likely it is to clog pores and only provoke acne. Gel or cream-gel is ideally the only thing that should be applied to problem skin. Well, there are still light serums. At the same time, if two remedies are applied (and this is possible, for example, in the winter I applied both an acid cream and an antibiotic at night), then the rule is: lightest texture applied first . That is, first the gel, then the cream. If you apply it the other way around, the gel will penetrate the skin worse or not at all, and therefore will not work. I generally categorically do not recommend applying the ointment to problem skin.

Another important property of creams to avoid is comedogenicity. Comedogenicity - this is the property of the product to clog pores and form comedones. It happens that the cream is good, everything in it is both acids and aloe. , and the blood of a virgin unicorn, and pimples keep coming and going. Read its composition - you will surely find comedogenic components. For me, these include “heavy” oils (olive, sunflower, coconut), vitamin E (if there is a lot of it in the composition, I won’t buy a cream for all its usefulness), isopropyl myristate and myristil myristate. They are like a red light bulb: they are in the composition - fu-fu-fu, away from sin. A complete list of comedogenic components can be easily found on the Internet.

So, the requirements for long-term exposure are simple:

- light texture

- non-comedogenic

- the presence of useful components in the composition

The ideal remedy is a gel or cream-gel with AHA. There are quite a few of these among pharmacy cosmetics.

I intentionally did not write in this article about masks, scrubs, serums and other more specific products. These are topics for the future. .

Thank you for your attention! Hope the text is helpful.

And according to tradition - all goodness and beauty!

Signs of problem skin

Cosmetologists tend to call problematic oily skin prone to pimples and acne. In patients suffering from acne, the formation of sebum significantly increases and its composition changes (the concentration of linoleic acid decreases). This leads to hyperkeratosis, and subsequently to clogging of pores and the appearance of closed and open comedones, or blackheads.

All of the above changes the skin relief not for the better, and also creates favorable conditions for the reproduction of bacteria Propionibacterium acnes and the formation of inflammatory elements.

So, the main characteristics of problem skin:

    enlarged pores;

    oily sheen;

    black dots;

  • post-acne scars.

Causes of problems

The number of sebaceous glands in the body of each person is genetically determined. But the intensity of the work of these glands can change throughout life. Skin problems can accompany you not only in adolescence, but also appear in 30-40 years.

What can cause them:

    hormonal imbalance;

    genetic predisposition;

    improperly selected care;

    insufficient cleansing of the skin;

    malnutrition;

    environmental pollution;

What kind of skin can be problematic

    Combined

    It is distinguished by oily sheen and enlarged pores in the T-zone.

    Characteristics - oily sheen and enlarged pores all over the face.

  • Dehydrated problematic

How to care for problem skin

Perhaps the most important step in oily skin care is cleansing. Morning and evening, special means.

One of the main problems of owners of oily skin prone to acne is a violation of the surface hydrolipid layer. As a result of aggressive care or treatment, the skin becomes dehydrated and sensitive. Therefore, it is important to avoid soaps, cosmetics containing alcohol and choose products with a pH of 5.0-5.5 (that is, corresponding to the normal pH of the skin).

As part of products for problem skin, acids, components with anti-inflammatory and matting effects should be present.

cleansing

Trying to get rid of oily sheen, owners of problem skin cleanse the skin “to a squeak” with the help of aggressive agents and thereby achieve the opposite effect - they break the hydrolipid layer, provoke new inflammation and dryness.

Choose mild products, such as those containing zinc. It regulates the production of sebum. Also, the composition should contain restorative components.

Invest in foams and tonics. Be careful with scrubs. If you have an acute phase of acne, it is better to refuse mechanical exfoliants, they can increase the inflammatory process. If acne is behind you, use a scrub twice a week. Choose one that contains antibacterial and sebum-regulating ingredients.

If you have enlarged pores, try using Clarisonic for cleansing. A brush attachment is suitable for washing and deep cleansing the pores on the face. Its bristles are of different lengths and are positioned to effectively remove oil and dirt that clog pores.

Moisturizing

This important step in oily skin care is often overlooked, mistakenly thinking that moisturizing will cause shine. Contrary to myths, oily skin can and should be moisturized to restore its hydro-lipid mantle. Choose light textures - vibes and mousses.

Don't forget about the need to protect your already vulnerable skin from ultraviolet radiation. Both regular day cream and foundation should contain SPF sun protection factors.

Prevention of skin problems

    wash your face slightly warm water. Hot dries out the skin and stimulates sebum production.

    Thoroughly take off your makeup every night. If using oil or milk, rinse with water.

    For morning wash choose a soft gel with fruit acids then apply toner and moisturizer.

    Exfoliators such as scrubs and peels should not contain too large abrasive particles, otherwise there is a risk of causing microdamages to the skin, which can then turn into inflammation.

    Before applying the cream Refresh your skin with a toner it visually narrows the pores. Tonic formulas often have a cumulative effect - after a month of regular use, you will definitely notice that the skin has become more even.

    During the day use matting wipes. As soon as you notice an oily sheen, blot them on the T-zone and chin.

    Foundation should be light and contain soothing and caring ingredients.

In addition to cosmetic care for problem skin, there are cosmetic procedures © iStock

Chemical peel

It is usually used to smooth out the microrelief of the skin (including post-acne correction). As a means of combating acne and post-acne, aqueous solutions or gels based on various acids are used:

    salicylic;

    almond;

    glycolic;

    dairy;

    pyruvic;

    retinoic;

    trichloroacetic.

Plasma therapy

Today it is one of the most effective methods. A safe method of regenerative medicine is based on the principles of auto-stimulation. Its essence lies in the allocation of plasma from the patient's blood and its introduction by injection.

Platelet-rich plasma has a powerful anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effect.

Ozone therapy

An effective anti-inflammatory technique for acne. Procedures are recommended to be done in a course of 10-15 sessions. The result is a significant reduction in inflammation, lightening of post-inflammatory spots and prevention of new rashes.

It is difficult to achieve the desired beauty with problem skin. If excess fat on the body can be hidden under clothes, then the “charms” that problem skin gives cannot be hidden. Nobody canceled tons of cosmetics, but more often this leads to an even greater deterioration in appearance. Therefore, care for problematic skin of the body and face should be constant and correct, and let's figure out how.

Each woman by eye will determine the signs that indicate problems with the skin. They can be temporary or permanent and are as follows:

  • pimples, blackheads, acne, enlarged pores;
  • red capillary grid;
  • boils;
  • pigmentation;
  • oily sheen;
  • lack of healthy skin color;
  • dryness, peeling;
  • allergic manifestations;
  • early flabbiness, loss of contour and age-related changes.

Care for problematic facial skin after thirty should be thorough, because at this time the body is being restructured, and if it is not helped, then beauty will fade ahead of time.

Provoking factors

Problematic facial skin does not only occur in adolescents, when hormonal changes are at their peak. Any cosmetologist or dermatologist will name a number of reasons that provoke the above signs:

  1. In the first place is genetic inheritance, which is hidden in DNA. It depends on the type of skin and its structure, whether there will be acne. Even how long youth and beauty will last.
  2. The dirtier the human environment, the more health and skin problems, respectively. At risk are people who have a predisposition to problematic skin and live in megacities. Do not forget about climatic differences, like extremely hot summers or harsh winters.
  3. The absence in life of such a thing as caring for oily problem skin, or it is, but wrong. Even decorative cosmetics must be chosen correctly. If the foundation applied to the skin in the morning is inappropriate, by the evening the face will turn red and all signs of inflammation will appear.
  4. Health problems, especially diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and the endocrine sphere. A failure in their work is a guaranteed pimple, enlarged pores or excessive dryness, and subsequently scars and scars from them.
  5. The use of drugs, in particular, antibacterial agents, which adversely affect the entire body, especially on the skin of the face.
  6. Addictions that spoil health lead to lack of sleep and immoral acts. After all, such a wild life is a direct path to problems with both skin and health. Especially if they are daily.
  7. Abuse of the wrong food will not only spoil the figure, but also the epidermis. To be in shape and beautiful, you need to follow special diets, and this is not a temporary norm, but a way of life. If the diet is balanced, then there will be no oily and problematic skin.

Especially careful you need to be the owners of dry and oily, combination skin. If for the former this will manifest itself in the loss of tone, a clear contour of the face and the appearance of the first wrinkles, then for the latter it is an excess of subcutaneous fat, which is a fertile ground for pathogens. Their seboregulation will be reduced.

To avoid all this, you need the right care, in which there will be a place for both cleansing and moisturizing, especially in winter.

Rules and stages of care

Care for problematic and sensitive skin of any type will be effective if it is comprehensive and permanent. You need to do everything in stages, observing these rules:

  1. You need to start with a change in diet: you need to eat homemade dishes. They should be dominated by greens, vegetables, fruits, dairy products, nuts. Getting rid of junk food is getting rid of skin problems, and the result will not be long in coming.
  2. Folk experience in cosmetology has long proven its effectiveness, especially in how to deal with negativity on the skin. All such recipes are very easy to make at home from simple and healthy substances. It can be herbal decoctions or a magic mask that removes redness.
  3. Oily, inflamed and problematic facial skin should be treated with anti-comedone type cosmetics with a high SPF factor. This will allow the skin to breathe normally without increased greasiness and clogged pores.
  4. Getting rid of a pimple at home by squeezing is strictly prohibited. Acne or purulent acne should be treated by a specialist who will treat them correctly, and also give advice on how to avoid them. In particularly difficult cases, long-term treatment with acetylsalicylic acid and other skin-friendly products will be prescribed.
  5. Combination, oily problematic skin care is impossible without cleansing and moisturizing, which should be daily. Washing is best done with slightly cool water. A mask-care is done a couple of times a week, and a scrub or peeling is done no more than once a month.
  6. It is impossible to wash with simple soap; for this, there should be a special washbasin, foam or milk on the shelf.
  7. The fastest way to cure acne is to use a cream or a special product rich in zinc and sulfur. Such care is best done at night, so that the active substances have time to relieve inflammation.

The first step is cleansing

  • For cleansing, it is recommended to use products only for problem skin, it is necessary to avoid cosmetics on harsh surfactants.
  • Such skin requires cleansing twice a day, but not more often.
  • It is best to use tar soap, special herbal powders.
  • Micellar water is a modern skin care product for removing make-up. Micellar water is aimed mainly at removing makeup, but in addition, it eliminates irritation. Micellar water is widely represented on the market, but you need to choose a remedy for problem skin.

Step two - toning

The third stage - moisturizing

Problem skin of the face needs to be moisturized, but you need to carefully select purchased products, the reviews of the beautician's visitors say the same thing. Aloe Vera gel and hyaluronic serum moisturizers have a lot of positive recommendations.

The fourth stage - applying masks

Nourishing masks help fight oily sheen, acne, with their help the skin becomes matte and healthy. Masks are best done at home, have proven themselves well. This medicinal plant has a healing and anti-inflammatory effect.

Care after thirty years

After 30 years, you can also face acne. At this age, the skin suffers from dehydration, is sometimes prone to rashes and has a high sensitivity.

After a certain age limit, you should not refuse the care described above, but new recommendations are added to the rules.

Care rules:

  1. At 30 years old and after, it is better to use disposable wipes to get your face wet. Ordinary towels irritate sensitive skin.
  2. For oily epidermis after 30 years, it is recommended to purchase creams in pharmacy chains. This is also evidenced by reviews from beauty forums. For example, pharmacy brands Bioderm, Aven and La Roche-Posay are recommended.
  3. It is advisable to use all new funds after thirty in the form of probes. This is the only way to assess whether a cosmetic preparation is suitable for the skin.
  4. 30 years is a milestone, you should be attentive to nutrition and lifestyle. After 35 years, the predominance of very fatty and spicy foods on the menu negatively affects the skin.

The right choice of cosmetics

Do not think that caring for such an epidermis is extremely difficult. If the cosmetics are chosen correctly, then it is very simple. And if adolescence allows experiments and maximalism in care, then for older people the approach is always painstaking and individual.

There are many professional and conventional cosmetics on the market that work with the manifestations of problem skin. The main thing is to choose your price range, purpose and composition of the product that suits your type.

  • extracts from chamomile, green tea;
  • Birch tar;
  • chemicals - retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, zinc oxide;
  • antibiotic - erythromycin;
  • alcohol;
  • sea salt;
  • clay.

Important! All products must be from the series for problem skin of the corresponding type.

There are 6 episodes that have earned the most rave reviews from both ordinary people and celebrities:

Esters for skin problems

Essential oils have been used in cosmetology for a long time, including for problem skin. They are applied both pointwise to the problem area, and using a vessel for aromatherapy. And if many drugs are not allowed during pregnancy, then esters in aroma vessels are allowed. In addition, if you use hot water, the steam will help expand the pores, which then will be easy to clean with a scrub or special foam.

Acne is best treated with bergamot, geranium, lavender and lemon oils. No less effective is the ester of tea tree, coconut oil, grapes. They can be used neat, added to creams, lotions or water for washing.

  • grapefruit,
  • rosemary.

A gelatin and activated charcoal mask perfectly cleanses pores and dries the skin. Serum yeast mask copes well with increased greasiness.

If we are talking about problem skin of a dry type, then you can moisturize it with sour cream, berry masks. will make the pores narrow, and the skin itself matte. Moreover, the effect persists for several hours.

For a combined type of epidermis, you can apply different products in zones, the effect will please.
