All about stretch marks!! Stretch marks on certain parts of the body

It is important for a girl to have a beautiful figure and body. Stretch marks on the body, resulting from pregnancy or sudden weight loss or gain, will not go unnoticed by the fair sex. The question always remains how to get rid of stretch marks at home.

Elimination of the first signs

You need to start gradually, from the smallest. Determining that these are stretch marks is quite easy on your own. On the body, many small stripes, similar to scars, form. In appearance, such skin seems flabby, although in life this defect does not bring inconvenience to a person.

The main reason you want to get rid of stretch marks as soon as possible is aesthetic. They ruin the look a lot. Those who have received such “beauty” due to weight loss or weight gain should start immediately. Special creams can be used that will tighten the skin, giving it elasticity and returning it to its original appearance.

Important! If stretch marks have formed from jumps in weight indicators, then only creams are indispensable. In the course you need to start drinking plenty of water and the most proper nutrition with vegetables and fruits.

Localization of stretch marks

It is necessary to deal with the problem taking into account all its features. When striae appear, you need to choose a variety of treatment methods, because they appear on different parts of the body.

Where can stretch marks appear?

  • stomach;
  • butt;
  • hands;
  • breast.

Each area has different skin elasticity, so you should not choose one method for all areas.

Stretch marks in the abdomen

Such a defect is easy to hide with clothes. But if you start the condition, the skin will gradually begin to fade. The important thing is to help her recover. The smaller the “age” of the stretch marks, the easier and faster the treatment will occur.

Note! Distinguishing old stretch marks from new ones is easy. If they are pink, then such striae are young. When they turn white, it means that they have been on the skin for a long time.

The most accessible method for everyone is compresses. You don't have to spend a lot of time preparing them.

Milk compress

The basis will be fatty kefir. Add essential oils of rosewood and rosemary to it. Mix the mixture and soak a cloth in it, which should be applied to the problem area. You can leave the compress overnight, wrapping it well to the body with cling film. The duration of the procedures is at least thirty days.

sea mask

For her, ordinary kelp is useful, which you need to buy in dry form and cook it yourself without the use of spices and salt. Soaked algae should be put on stretch marks and kept under a film for several hours, then take a hot bath.

Softening lotion

This tool can be periodically lubricated with stretch marks in order to moisturize and nourish the skin. To prepare it, mix rose oil with tea tree essential oil. Using a cotton swab, wipe the areas several times. Can be combined with other types of treatment.

Stretch marks on the pope

Appear not only as a sign of pregnancy and tissue relaxation. On the buttocks, stretch marks can also occur in overweight people who like to accumulate in such places. At risk are athletes who decide to quickly gain weight by choosing the wrong approach.

Efficiency gives a procedure such as massage. It can be done at home using emollients such as jojoba oil. Movements should be soft, accurate. It is necessary to restore proper blood circulation. At home, you can prepare additional funds.

Note! Each product prepared at home must be tested on a small area of \u200b\u200bthe wrist in order to avoid allergic reactions.

Emollient cream

Dilute a mummy tablet in water and combine with any moisturizing body cream. It should be applied to clean skin, using once a day.

Oil compresses

It is best to take oils that are very fatty, which will penetrate deep into the skin.

  1. Combine olive oil with three drops of rosemary essential oil. Rub into skin. There may be slight tingling.
  2. Combine flax oil with almond oil, drive well into problem areas.
  3. Mix wheat germ oil with a spoonful of kefir. Moisturize the skin in this way twice a day.

Stretch marks on the arms

They mainly occur in people who play sports and rely on gaining muscle mass in the biceps and triceps. Jumps in size significantly affect the skin, due to which it becomes flabby, striae appear.

To change the situation, first of all, the diet changes. Getting rid of flour and fat will help you recover faster.

Important! For a faster result, you can buy vitamin C tablets and drink it for a week.

No less effective will be a compress of liquid honey. They need to lubricate the stretch marks and wrap with a film. Leave for an hour or two and the skin will noticeably improve.

Stretch marks on the chest

They occur in almost all women during pregnancy as the breasts grow and prepare for motherhood.

Taking a contrast shower for the chest will help to tighten the skin of the chest and make it stable. The jet must be alternated from warm to cold. The water pressure will also act as a kind of massage, which is why this procedure can be called twice as effective.

A good mask will be from a cucumber. For her, you need to take fresh and juicy cucumbers, peel and grind the pulp on a grater until a mass is formed. Together with the juice, it must be distributed on delicate skin and kept for forty minutes. There should be a feeling of tightness.

Essential oils are considered very beneficial. They can be added to the bath or used directly. By mixing oils such as lavender, eucalyptus and rosewood, you can achieve significant results.

Important! To increase the effectiveness of treatment, it is advisable to regularly nourish the skin with pharmaceutical products. Retin-A baby cream or ointment will help get rid of stretch marks.

A greasy cream based on chamomile or menthol will affect the condition of the skin, which needs to be nourished by problem areas, leaving the product overnight.

How to prevent stretch marks

First of all, you need to ensure that there are no sudden jumps in weight. You need to choose diets only long-term, when the result will appear gradually. What other measures need to be taken so that the skin is always smooth and beautiful?

  • proper nutrition;
  • skin care;
  • hormone control;
  • physical exercise.

Now in more detail. The skin needs to be taken care of, because due to polluted air, wearing synthetic clothes that do not allow air to pass through, eating fatty foods from fast food, its condition worsens. It is important not only to change the diet, eliminating or reducing the intake of junk food, but also to act outside. This means that the skin needs to be nourished with moisturizing lotions and exfoliated in a timely manner.

Physical exercise will help tighten the skin and make it more resilient. If you constantly play sports, then you may not encounter such an ailment as stretch marks at all.

A common mistake of mankind is not drinking enough water. Everyone only drinks water when they feel thirsty. In fact, you need to drink water every hour for a glass or more, so as not to deprive the cells of nutrition. The condition of the skin largely depends on water.

Additional funds

Simple recipes for homemade scrubs are always useful, which must be applied once a week to keep the body in good shape.

Coffee

For him, you only need ground coffee grounds, which you need to rub the skin, exfoliating old particles.

Honey

You need to choose honey thick, candied. It adheres well to the body, they can quickly exfoliate unwanted cells.

Sugar

It needs to be cooked. In equal portions, mix sugar, salt and butter. Rub into skin, then rinse well.

Stretch marks during pregnancy can be cured at home. Don't expect them to disappear after a week. It can take weeks or months for the skin to recover after childbirth. The main thing is to act gradually.

Formed as a result of prolonged stretching of the skin.

Stretch marks can appear on the abdomen, chest, thighs, buttocks, and other areas of the body. They can be single or multiple. They are more common in women, but men are not immune from their appearance.

Causes of stretch marks

Overstretching of the skin, leading to rupture of collagen and elastin fibers inside it, and their replacement by connective (scar) tissue, occurs in the following cases:

Pregnancy- the natural state of a woman, accompanied by both an increase in waist volume and pronounced hormonal changes. Not everyone's skin can withstand such a load without the formation of stretch marks.

Rapid increase in body volume accompanying weight gain. Body volumes can also increase due to muscles, for example, in men involved in bodybuilding.

puberty in teenagers. Fluctuations in the hormonal background in their body form a predisposition to the appearance of stretch marks.

Reception medicines belonging to the group of glucocorticoid hormones.

Some diseases of the endocrine system, most often suffer from Itsenko-Cushing's syndrome. In this case, stretch marks can occur not only on the body, but also on the face.

hereditary predisposition also matters. If someone from the older generation in the family has encountered this problem, then the likelihood of stretch marks in their children and grandchildren increases.

You can guess the possible cause of the appearance of stretch marks by their location. Stretch marks that have arisen in connection with changes in the hormonal background, as a rule, are located horizontally, and those caused by an increase in body volume - vertically.

Stretch mark color

Fresh stretch marks have shades of pink (due to the inflammatory processes that accompany their appearance) or cyanotic (caused by the translucence of blood vessels through thinned skin). They may even rise slightly above the surface of the skin.

As stretch marks mature, they gradually fade and become lighter than the surrounding skin. Their surface becomes "sinking" in relation to its level.

Stretch marks are predominantly made up of connective tissue. It has few cells capable of producing pigment under the influence of ultraviolet radiation. Therefore, tanning, as a rule, does not mask existing stretch marks, on the contrary, against the background of tanning, striae look more contrasting (but in some cases, the ability of stretch marks to tan is preserved - this depends on the phototype of the skin and the degree of damage to its structure).

Is there a health hazard?

Stretch marks are not a health hazard, they are nothing more than a cosmetic defect. However, if the cause of their appearance is hormonal disorders, they must be treated. If you find stretch marks that do not have an obvious connection with overstretching of the skin, as well as an inexplicably rapid increase in body weight, you should consult an endocrinologist.

Stretch Mark Removal

The effectiveness of the treatment to eliminate stretch marks depends on how long ago they appeared. The sooner treatment is started, the greater the chance of successfully getting rid of them.

The process can be fully reversible only in the early stages of the development of stretch marks. White stretch marks that have existed for more than 1 year, in which the formation of scar tissue has already been completed, are more resistant to treatment. It is impossible to remove them without a trace, but to make them significantly less noticeable is real.

In medical cosmetology, the following methods are used for this:

LPG massage- normalizes blood circulation and metabolic processes in those areas where stretch marks have appeared, stimulates the synthesis of collagen and elastin in them.

Mesotherapy- the method of introducing drugs directly into the affected tissue ensures their maximum effectiveness.

RF lifting- activates cell regeneration in the affected area, can significantly reduce the area of the lesion.

Median peels- allow you to even out the level of healthy skin and scar tissue, activate the synthesis of collagen and elastin in the affected skin.

The use of numerous cosmetic products produced for the correction of stretch marks, unfortunately, does not provide a noticeable effect. Clinical studies have shown that the active substances that make up most of them do not penetrate the skin well. They can only slightly accelerate the "maturation" of stretch marks, their discoloration, but they are not able to completely remove or reduce the area of the lesion.

Prevention

Any disease is easier to prevent than to cure. Therefore, during pregnancy, while building muscle mass, weight gain, it is necessary to pay attention to skin care, maintaining its hydration and elasticity.

  • Drink plenty of fluids, at least two liters per day.
  • Include fruits and vegetables in your diet, which are the main source of natural vitamins and minerals.
  • Limit your salt intake. Excess salt contributes to the appearance of edema, further increasing the volume of the body.
  • It is possible to take prophylactic vitamins A, E, alpha and omega acids, fish oil.
  • It is advisable to massage the skin areas experiencing the greatest stretching. But the massage should be delicate, not creating additional physical stress on the skin.
  • A contrast shower is also useful, it has a "training" effect on the vessels of the skin.
  • After water procedures, it is necessary to moisturize the skin. You can use any means that help retain moisture in the skin - oils or creams.
  • The use of body skin care products containing collagen, vitamins A and E, natural oils, hyaluronic acid also increases its elasticity.

In a significant part of cases, following these recommendations will help prevent the appearance of stretch marks, but only with their regular and complex use.

A beautiful figure is the dream of all women in the world. Most women make every effort to achieve this result. The appearance of ugly white scars on the thighs, buttocks, abdomen and some other parts of the body destroys our idea of a beautiful figure. How to prevent stretch marks? What if they have already appeared?

What are stretch marks?
Stretch marks or, as they are also called, striae, are skin lesions that manifest themselves in the form of non-aesthetic stripes and scars on the body. The reason for this is hormonal changes that can be caused by puberty, pregnancy, overweight, taking hormonal drugs, due to which the skin in some places becomes so thin that tears appear. These tears are replaced by connective tissue, forming scars that may be purple or red at first, but become pink or white over time. These scars or stripes never sunbathe, do not disappear, are not removed with the help of creams, which, in aesthetic terms, does not paint women.

The presence of stretch marks does not pose any danger to the body, but the reasons for their appearance can be serious. If the formation of stretch marks is in no way connected with pregnancy, in addition, it is accompanied by an increase in body weight, an increase in blood pressure, the appearance of hair where there is usually none, it is necessary to urgently consult with specialists.

Removal (treatment) of stretch marks.
Stretch marks that appeared less than a year ago are more effectively corrected. Such stretch marks can be completely removed by many modern methods. The treatment of striae is a very lengthy process that requires a lot of patience. This process includes and combines several methods. If the striae have turned into white or pearly stripes, then the only thing that can be done is to make them less noticeable. In this case, apply different kind resurfacing, including laser, which allows you to even out stretch marks and make the skin homogeneous. However, these procedures are by no means cheap. If stretch marks are barely noticeable, then it is recommended to use special creams and gels for the treatment of stretch marks, which will make them less noticeable. For some women, cosmetologists recommend mesotherapy, which will take from six months to a year.

It is almost impossible to remove old stretch marks. However, aesthetic medicine offers such a way to get rid of stretch marks as enzyme injections. The result of this procedure is a reduction in stretch marks, loss of bright color, and the skin surface is leveled. But there is a significant disadvantage: the effect of this procedure lasts only 2-3 years, and the cost of the procedure is not quite cheap. In addition, there are many contraindications for this procedure. Another way to remove stretch marks is abdominoplasty. Its essence lies in the removal by the surgeon of the stretched skin along with stretch marks. However, there is a risk of complications, suppuration, as well as the appearance of scars. Before deciding on such an operation, you need to weigh everything very well, because stretch marks in fact do not affect the health of the body and do not pose any danger.

Despite the fact that there is a wide variety of methods for treating stretch marks, in my opinion, there is nothing more reliable and safer than prevention.

Stretch marks prevention.
Prevention of stretch marks is the use of special creams, which include essential oils, plant extracts, collagen and elastin. Of the products that are always at hand, you can recommend olive oil, which is effective tool prevention of stretch marks. In general, the prevention of stretch marks should begin in early childhood, because due to the incorrect formation of skin fibers, it is damaged. This violation is laid before the impact of hormonal changes. Therefore, from an early age, the child should eat properly, varied and rationally. The composition of the child's diet should include foods containing vitamins of group B, as well as A, E and C, which play a very important role for the skin. Especially the child's menu should include components such as proteins (meat, fish, and dairy products), vegetable oils (olive, sunflower, corn), potassium (tomatoes and bananas). A healthy lifestyle, walks and games in the fresh air, water procedures, massages - all this is the best prevention not only of stretch marks and other aesthetic defects, but also of many diseases.

Special creams for stretch marks.
Creams for stretch marks should include moisturizers (chitosan, aloe vera, hyaluronic acid), collagen, protein hydrolysates and amino acids, vitamins and minerals. Very often, vegetable oils are included in the composition of such products. Avocado, rosehip, sea buckthorn, cocoa, soybean, wheat germ, grape seed oils are especially effective. These funds must be rubbed into problem areas with active massage movements.

Massage mix.
The following recipe helps very well in the prevention of stretch marks. It is necessary to mix 30 ml of almond oil, 15 ml of wheat germ oil, 15 ml of avocado oil, 2 drops of lavender oil, two drops of carrot seeds, two drops of geranium and calendula, 4 drops of neroli oil. The resulting mixture in in large numbers must be rubbed into the skin of the thighs, abdomen, buttocks after a shower or bath.

Prevention of stretch marks during pregnancy.
It is necessary to start the prevention of stretch marks long before pregnancy. It is recommended to take a course of vacuum massage. Massage with the use of natural vegetable oils, which helps to strengthen the skin, has a good effect. To saturate the skin with components that are lacking, it is necessary to make algae and mud wraps that enrich the skin with essential amino acids, vitamins and microelements. During pregnancy, self-massage is very effective, which is best done after taking a cool shower, rubbing the skin with a soft terry towel. Then it is necessary to gently pinch the stomach with the index and thumb in a clockwise direction, until the skin turns red. This stimulates blood circulation in problem areas, which prevents the appearance of stretch marks. During pregnancy and after childbirth, it is also necessary to wear special supportive underwear at all times, which prevents stretching of the skin.

Sometimes you can hear: stretch marks have formed on the skin. What it is? And what are the reasons for such formations? We are talking about unsightly skin defects that can occur in women after childbirth. Often they appear in adolescents, athletes. And also in people who change their weight drastically. So, let's figure it out: striae - what is it? Why do they appear? And how to deal with them?

Striae - what is it?

People call them "stretch marks". Scientifically called "stretch marks". They are formed due to the fact that the skin is stretched in a relatively short time. In this case, the structure of the covers is disturbed. There is a rupture of its fibers (collagen and elastin). In such places, scars appear. They are called "stretch marks".

This cosmetic defect is very difficult to correct. It was impossible to do this before. But at present, there are procedures that help remove stretch marks on the skin. Or make them invisible, if it is impossible to completely eliminate such a drawback.

The risk of stretch marks in women is greater than in men. This is dictated by the fact that the structure of the skin in different sexes is not the same.

Causes of stretch marks in women

Why do stretch marks appear on the skin? The causes of this defect in the fair sex are most often concluded in the following:

  1. The rapid growth of the body. First of all, this is adolescence development, during which bone mass increases faster than muscle mass. At the same time, the skin integuments in places where the largest growth is observed (usually the hips and chest) begin to stretch strongly.
  2. Sudden change in weight. With an increase in body weight, there is a rapid formation of fat cells that form directly under the skin. The epidermis does not grow as fast. As a result of this, it begins to stretch, and its fibers are torn in some places. Stretch marks can also occur with sudden weight loss. Fat deposits go away, the skin sags. Creases and folds form, due to which the fibers of the skin can also break.
  3. Pregnancy. In the most beautiful and crucial period, the components of the skin of a woman change. As a result, the epidermis loses its elasticity. In places of greatest stretching (chest, abdomen), stretch marks may appear.
  4. Heredity. The composition and structure of the skin can be genetically transmitted. Therefore, if the older generation in the family has stretch marks on the skin, the likelihood of stretch marks in their children is very high. In this case, it is recommended to carry out preventive procedures to prevent the appearance of such defects.
  5. Wrong diet. The lack of a protein responsible for the formation of elastin and collagen in the body leads to a loss of skin elasticity. Covers do not stretch well. In this case, stretch marks may form at the points of rupture of the skin fibers.
  6. Lack of water in the body. When dehydrated, the skin becomes dry. Using various moisturizers will not correct the situation until the epidermis receives moisture from the inside. Remember: if the skin is not filled with water from the inside, external moisturizing is meaningless.

Stretch marks in men

Stretch marks in the representatives of the stronger sex are formed less frequently than in women. However, they can also appear in men. What is the reason for such formations?

Stretch marks on the skin in men can occur as a result of the following factors:

  1. The use of corticosteroids. If the dose is exceeded, striae may form.
  2. With a rapid increase in body weight, a strong stretching of the skin occurs, as a result of which ruptures occur. This process of formation of striae occurs in men involved in bodybuilding. Such a defect may be dictated by the lack of proper nutrition. In such a situation, a man does not follow his diet and quickly gains weight.
  3. Heredity.

Features of stretch marks in adolescents

Unfortunately, even children can develop stretch marks. What is it in adolescents and why do such defects appear on young skin?

Stretch marks in children occur for various reasons, sometimes different from the sources of stretch marks in adults:

  1. As a result of hormonal changes in adolescence, weight and height increase rapidly. In adolescents, growing and gaining mass rapidly, striae may form. After all, the skin is overstretched.
  2. When you gain weight, the formation of fat mass increases. At the same time, the skin is stretched, and striae may appear. They form in places where connective tissue has replaced the epidermis. Often in adolescence, girls appear striae on the rapidly growing mammary glands, thighs, buttocks, and abdomen.
  3. Maintaining a sedentary lifestyle by a teenager. As a result of hypodynamia, excess weight gain occurs. It also contributes to stretch marks.
  4. In adolescence, the child's body produces If its synthesis exceeds the norm, then stretch marks may appear on the skin. Therefore, in adolescence, it is imperative to check the hormonal background. Especially if striae begin to form during puberty. In this situation, you just need to see a doctor.

However, you must understand that striae are not always harmless. What it is is known to every dermatologist. They do not always indicate the factors described above. If a teenager has stretch marks in the back area, then this may be an indicator of pathologies in the internal organs. Most often, the appearance of such striae occurs as a result of a small development of the spinal muscles. But in order to exclude internal diseases, it is necessary to consult with a specialist and undergo the prescribed diagnostics.

Parents should talk to their teenager about the possibility of stretch marks. It is necessary to talk about the fact that the appearance of stretch marks usually occurs in Be sure to report on the many methods for eliminating this problem. After all, it is much easier to deal with fresh striae.

Diseases leading to the appearance of striae

The reason for the formation of stretch marks may be a violation in the work of the adrenal glands or pathology of the endocrine system. With pathologies of the pancreas, there is an increased production of cortisol, which weakens the structure of the epidermis. Therefore, if such defects appear, it is necessary to consult a doctor. Some people may develop stretch marks on their skin. The photo below demonstrates such an unpleasant phenomenon. Most often, the cause of such defects should be sought in endocrine pathologies.

Only by eliminating the likelihood of developing unpleasant defects as a result of ailments, the following methods of dealing with them can be considered.

What type are stretch marks?

Striae - allow you to visually understand what we are dealing with. Only the stretch marks that appear are pink or reddish. Over time, they begin to lighten and become white or gray. In shape, the striae have the outlines of lightning (most often in the abdomen) or stripes.

How to get rid of stretch marks?

The duration of the process of getting rid of stretch marks depends on the quality of the skin (degree of elasticity), the size of the stretch marks, and the timeliness of the start of treatment. Usually, to get rid of them, it takes at least six months.

Fresh, pink and purple blemishes are the easiest to remove. After all, they are still involved in blood circulation and lend themselves well to regenerating procedures. Old stretch marks, white in color, are almost impossible to remove. But with the help of some means they can be made less noticeable, almost invisible.

Getting rid of stretch marks and preventing their appearance

It is best not to give a single chance to appear such defects on the skin. For the prevention of stretch marks, you must adhere to proper nutrition. In addition, you should take care of the skin from adolescence.

If stretch marks are already on the body, then it is required to carry out restorative treatment, destructive procedures that will smooth out the scars.

Salon events

Today, many excellent techniques have been developed to smooth out chronic stretch marks with the help of modern devices and effective procedures. Let's consider them in more detail.

Destructive Procedures

Such measures include methods that allow destroying the upper layer of the dermis. This starts the natural process of regeneration in the skin. Thanks to this mechanism, the scars are evened out in color and reduced in size.

To combat stretch marks, the following procedures are used:

  1. Deep chemical peel. During this procedure, the top layer of the skin and the scar is destroyed. The covers begin to regenerate intensively. The new layer perfectly masks the unaesthetic defect.
  2. Microdermabrasion. This method is often used if striae have formed on the skin of the face. This is a mechanical peeling that removes dead cells. As a result, tissues begin to regenerate.
  3. Fraxel. Laser treatment for skin resurfacing. Due to this effect, skin smoothing is achieved.

Restorative procedures

In the salon, many other methods for eliminating defects such as stretch marks on the skin can be offered.

Treatment is often based on the following restorative procedures:

  1. Mesotherapy. Injections of peptides and hyaluronic acid. These substances moisturize the epidermis, help the active restoration of skin cells. After such injections, the epidermis acquires elasticity and regenerates much faster.
  2. Biorevitalization. The introduction of hyaluronic acid, which actively moisturizes the skin.

These procedures are carried out in a course for a long time. Therefore, if in some salon cosmetologists promise in one session, you should not use the services of these specialists.

home care

You can fight striae on your own. At home, special creams are used to reduce stretch marks.

Typically, these funds include:

  • seaweed,
  • antioxidants,
  • vitamins,
  • natural oils.

The use of creams to reduce stretch marks will not ensure their complete elimination. After all, these funds have basically only an external impact. They perfectly smooth the skin, smooth the surface of the scars, but do not change the state of the striae in the depths of the dermis.

Therefore, the use of creams to reduce stretch marks can be considered as an additional therapy carried out to enhance the effect of salon procedures.

Stretch prevention

Preventing stretch marks is easier than removing them later. Therefore, if the skin has reduced elasticity or minor scars begin to appear, you should definitely start preventive measures.

Pregnant women most often develop stretch marks on the skin of the abdomen. But expectant mothers should remember that at such a crucial moment, not every cosmetic can be used. Women who are expecting a baby should only use products that are intended for pregnant women!

For all other people, the following methods for preventing stretch marks can be used:

  1. Masks and wraps. They have a beneficial effect on the elasticity of the skin. Mud masks and algae wraps that need to be done weekly help well.
  2. Proper diet. You need to drink about two liters of water daily. The food should contain a large amount of protein, which increases the elasticity of the dermis.
  3. Gradual weight loss. Do not get carried away with diets that promise rapid weight loss. Get rid of extra pounds should be slow, reducing weight by no more than 2% per month. With such weight loss, the skin will remain elastic, which helps to avoid the occurrence of stretch marks.
  4. Application of various cosmetic moisturizers rich in vitamins, hyaluronic acid, peptides, fruit acids, oils. Such funds contribute to the restoration of the hydrolipidic balance of the skin. They give the epidermis elasticity, saturate it with moisture.
  5. Weekly peeling. It removes dead skin cells. This allows you to restore the breath of the epidermis. Through these processes, the skin acquires elasticity.
  6. Cold and hot shower. It has a beneficial effect on blood circulation. If it is combined with massage (pinching movements in places where stretch marks may appear), then the benefits of such a procedure will increase markedly.

Stretch marks are almost impossible to remove, therefore, starting from adolescence, it is necessary to deal with the prevention of their appearance.

Why do skin stretch marks? And how to deal with stretch marks?

A fragile woman is surrounded by enemies. Wrinkles, extra pounds, cellulite, acne - and, of course, skin stretch marks. These ugly stripes on the hips, stomach and chest are guaranteed to spoil the mood of almost every woman.

Why do skin stretch marks appear?

In the very word "stretch marks" lies the answer to the question of where they come from. Stretch marks are caused by mechanical damage when the skin is overstretched. The body "darns" these tears with connective tissue - just like scars. And please, here you have ugly stripes - stretch marks. At first, the young connective tissue is permeated with blood capillaries, so the stretch marks of the skin have a rich pink, or even crimson color. Then the connective tissue ages, loses water, and with it elasticity. Capillaries die. For this reason, stretch marks of the skin turn pale. (If you sunbathe, they still remain disappointingly white. The explanation is that there is no pigment in the connective tissue).

The most common reason for the appearance of skin stretch marks is a sharp change in body volume. That is why pregnant women most often suffer from this scourge. It would seem that this is nonsense: stretch marks also appear on the skin of those who have lost weight too quickly. Well, where are they from? After all, the volume of the body, on the contrary, decreased! What is the stretch? It turns out that when you lose weight too quickly, the blood supply to the skin worsens, and with it the elasticity of the main subcutaneous layer of the dermis drops sharply. Where excess skin folds into wrinkles, it “breaks”, like overdried paper on a fold. Everything else you already know...

Nutritionists have accurately calculated the speed at which it is permissible to lose weight without the risk of getting stretch marks on the skin on your stomach or thighs. The limit is this: you are allowed to reduce your weight by no more than 2% per month. For a woman weighing 75 kilos, this means a loss of one and a half kilograms, no more!

The genetic factor also plays an important role. The tendency to form skin stretch marks is inherited. If your mother or grandmother suffered from these dirty stripes, then you will not be protected. Much depends on age. Oddly enough, but in 15-25 years the risk of stretch marks is highest. This is due to the fact that young skin grows “too” slowly. It often breaks, not keeping up with the growth of the body. But in adulthood, stretch marks almost never happen. The skin has time to stretch. Deep wrinkles form. They store a supply of "material" that is enough to compensate for any stretching. Northern women are more prone to stretch marks than southern women. Because they have much thinner skin. What is the conclusion from all of the above? You and I cannot protect ourselves from skin stretch marks. It's sad, but it's a fact...

How to deal with skin stretch marks?

Experts recommend eating more protein. It is the main "building material" of the skin, responsible for the regeneration (renewal) of the skin, their healthy condition and elasticity. However, the decisive word in the prevention (rather than treatment!) of skin stretch marks remains with numerous cosmetic products. Their maximum task is to moisturize the skin and stimulate the formation of collagen. Well, the more in the skin of both, the higher the margin of its strength.

In fact, an old and reliable remedy for the prevention of stretch marks is ordinary olive oil. Today, however, a whole arsenal of cosmetic preparations has been added to olive oil. As a rule, they include natural elastin and collagen, silicone, various nutrients, as well as hyaluronic acid, a powerful moisturizer that “retains” moisture in the upper layers of the skin. To be honest, none of these components can penetrate deep into the skin. However, it is good that they create the thinnest “sealing” film on the surface of the skin, which prevents the evaporation of moisture.

Relatively recently, drugs have appeared that prevent the appearance of skin stretch marks using plant extracts. Essential oils of rosewood, lemon, mint and vegetable oils of wheat and walnut sprouts actively fight skin flabbiness, while biosaccharides, soy raffermin, carrot protein hydrolyzate and tiger grass extract prevent stretching, reduce existing scars, strengthen the structure of the supporting skin fibers and prevent flabbiness after long-term hydration. By at least as they say in the ad. Can you believe all this? Yes and no. Each of the components at one time received evidence of its effectiveness in sterile laboratory conditions. But when it comes to a specific production, too much depends on the quality of the feedstock, dosage, storage and sale conditions.

One of the latest contenders for the role of our savior from skin stretch marks is retinol, that is, vitamin A. Retinol is known for its powerful effect on skin cells: they actively synthesize protein, divide, and produce collagen in the dermis. Another strengthening ingredient, demethyl aminoethanol, or simply DMAE, is also a naturally occurring substance that the human body can produce on its own, but in insufficient quantities. DMAE has anti-inflammatory properties, reduces redness in the area of stretch marks and smoothes old scars. Unfortunately, the effect of this substance is short-lived (no longer than a day), and you have to use products with DMAE every day.

Get rid of stretch marks

And finally, you can simply disguise skin stretch marks with decorative makeup. For example, to camouflage fresh stretch marks that have not yet faded, use self-tanner. Due to the fact that the skin around the scars will acquire a rich brown tint, the stretch marks themselves will no longer be so conspicuous.

and yet the best way to avoid skin stretch marks is to avoid sudden weight fluctuations, lose weight and get better gradually, without being tempted by the chance to lose the hated five kilograms in a week. If, despite your precautions, skin stretch marks still appear, do not rush to run to beauty salons. First of all, ask your friends in misfortune and conduct a marketing research: what procedure really helped them, in which salon, if there were any complications or side effects after it. Well, if nothing at all helps you, throw up your hands and live on. After all, no one has ever died from stretch marks!
