Coral lipstick color suits anyone. Makeup with coral lipstick for brunettes. Which shade will suit different color types?

It’s true - a person’s character is manifested in everything. Knowing that my desire for novelty is expressed as a negative number, I am not surprised when I notice that I buy cosmetics in the same way. Thus, wanting to “buy something new,” I buy “exactly the same, only different” - and so on five times in a row. Last spring I was interested in pink lipsticks, now coral ones are on the agenda. That's how I ended up with five lipsticks in coral shades.

Is there anything to love about coral color in makeup? Oh yeah. It is very universal, more or less suitable for everyone, good for both lips and cheeks, and also adds freshness (and thereby reduces age). If someone like me needs an excuse to buy five of the same lipsticks, this was one of the excuses that fit the bill.

I experience lipstick colors not as “dark/light” or “bright/pale”, but as “open/closed”. Coral color is “open”, that’s why I like it. But, as you know, owls are not what they seem, and coral lipsticks at first glance can turn out to be anything but coral. Only one of these “identical” lipsticks turned out to be truly coral. But the rest also took root with me and went into business. I’ll tell you about that.

So here we have the following comrades piled up. So far, in no particular order:
1. Lumene Raspberry Miracle Lip Sorbet #16 Wild Raspberry
2. Essence Long-Lasting Lipstick #01 Coral Calling
3. Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick #422 Coral Tonic
4. Lumene Raspberry Miracle Shine Lipstick #106 Summer
5. Lumene Raspberry Miracle Lipstick #10 Flower Meadow

First, I’ll show you lips without lipstick, so that you have something to compare all the characters with.

Now let's go in order.

1. Lumene Raspberry Miracle Lip Sorbet #16 Wild Raspberry

This stick was the first one I got. In a good way, this, of course, is not coral at all. It seemed coral to me only in contrast to my other lipsticks - at first I was committed to dusty pink shades, then juicy cold pink, and that’s why this color was the warmest among them.

It was all wiped off, of course, I bought it a good two years ago.

Well, only the lazy didn’t write about these lumen markers after their release, and I won’t open America here: a good lipstick-balm at a reasonable price. Translucent coverage, not super strong pigmentation, but decent for its texture, buttery finish. On my sensitive lips, after it is absorbed, it causes a feeling of penetrating dryness, so I need to seize this moment with a balm at the ready.

The coolest color from this selection. In a good way, it's just a warm pink. Delicate “girlish” shade. In fact, it is suitable for anyone at any age; depending on the condition of the skin, at most it will require a fixing pencil to stay along the contour.

2. Essence Long-Lasting Lipstick #01 Coral Calling

Then I purposefully started looking for coral lipsticks. After looking at the reviews, I found this popular Essence lipstick.

And it really turned out to be a good lipstick, you can’t say anything. However, they went too far with the “coral” in the name, what kind of coral is this? It's peachy pink, that's all. For coral, you need to mix orange in there, and more of it, but here I didn’t find it at all. Although the color in the stick was the most promising, and on my hand it looked like it was it.

Good dense coverage, creamy texture, excellent pigmentation. It doesn't hurt your lips, that's what's most important to me in lipsticks. I'm very pleased with her. So what if it’s not coral? Still very refreshing and goes with everything without adding to the need to think a lot in the mirror in the morning. (Okay, okay, don’t pick on “everything”—it really fits my own “everything.”)

The search for “real” coral in lipstick form continued. Armed with yet another pile of reviews, I chose another lipstick with “coral” right in the shade name, and this time it hit the bull’s eye. This turned out to be what we needed!

With this lipstick, I noticed how far other people's (and my own) swatches can be from personal impressions. The photos are far behind in conveying the richness of the color and brightness of the lipstick on the face. Therefore, I will add impressions using purely linguistic means.

This is a real coral color, fresh and juicy, similar to salmon - there is enough orange component in it, and pink is not forgotten either, preventing the “coral” from turning into “orange”. The coverage is translucent, the pigmentation is also good, the finish is moist, the shine is like pearl. The lipstick is gentle on the lips, as if it even adds nutrition along with the morning balm.

The only thing that is bad with it is the poor attachment of the stick; its back surface rubs against the walls of the case. I don’t expect much from the packaging of mass-market cosmetics (after all, it’s better to save money on packaging than on the product itself), and it’s okay for me, even if the case is cheap and ugly, but I have the right to expect functionality. But this is not critical - the stick does not fall off, and that’s okay.

I have the only "full face" photo of this lipstick. Here the light is artificial, but similar to white daylight, this is the professional light of a makeup artist.

4. Lumene Raspberry Miracle Lipstick #10 Flower Meadow

Having finally found the perfect “coral”, you could see what’s good about lipsticks that are similar in color. The next lipstick (by the way, I haven’t seen any reviews here for this shade, so I’ll tell you - let it be) gave me a surprise. In the stick it looked similar - a glowing, even slightly neon pink-orange. At first I was afraid of such bright (in stick) lipsticks, but now I know that on the face they do not give neon, but simply “fresh” brightness.

I liked the good pigmentation on her hand. In comparison with the previous lipstick, it looked brighter and denser, and, it would seem, why not try? Although this is where I should be wary - maybe before I didn’t consider translucent lipsticks to be lipsticks at all, but the last lipsticks I loved were just thin coverage, or not super-bright.

In general, it turned out to be very bright on the face, much brighter than I expected. I don’t perceive her as “coral”, rather she is from the “red” camp, red-orange. Light red, maybe, but first of all it’s about “brightness” to me, and not about the “freshness” that I was looking for in the spectrum of coral shades.

Apart from the surprise with the color, everything about it turned out to be good. High pigmentation, dense coverage, in general there is the least contrast between one layer and maximum coverage. Layers without problems. The pigment is strongly absorbed into the skin, eats into the lips and strives to remain even after makeup removal.

5. Lumene Raspberry Miracle Shine Lipstick #106 Summer

Having concluded that the combination of dense coverage and high brightness is not exactly what I want now, I went searching for the last time. And I found a lipstick with a thin coverage and rich color.

In general, this line of lumen transparent lipstick glosses is very interesting, I looked at many shades, there was excellent writing about #107 Hot Day, and about #112 Light Rain Sateella, and about #110 Daybreak, all are good, and thanks to their authors for the reviews . But the theme of coral, etc. I haven't run out of shades yet, and the closest to the group I was interested in was red-orange #106 Summer.

The coating is somewhat similar to Dior's Addicts - in one layer on the hand it looks somehow indistinct and even dirty, but it is layered like a bunny, and in several layers it gives the coveted juicy brightness. Pleasant wet shine, soft coating. In relation to the lips behaves well. What's better?

And now - a general swatch!

Now tell me about your favorite coral lipsticks, in case I need one too :) And show me, of course!

Hello everyone!!

I have my favorite long-lasting lipstick in the same cute tube that Oriflame finally released. So I decided to try it, I think it might become my favorite. I took 2 samples - one for myself (with the beautiful name “Tea Rose”, and an equally beautiful color), one for my mother (with the ambiguous name “Pink Coral”... coral with pink turns out... scarlet).

Long-lasting and long-lasting lipsticks are attractive because “beauty” lasts longer on the lips, and, accordingly, on your face :)

Now photo shade "Tea rose":

you can see a photo of lips without lipstick

Photo shade "

So, the most important and interesting fact about this lipstick is the strong discrepancy between the stated durability. In general, as far as I know, long-lasting lipsticks are lipsticks that survive many hours, with a snack or even lunch, one might say “living on the lips.” And stable ones mean 2-3 hours of good color rendering with an active lifestyle and conversations. So I can confidently call these lipsticks long lasting! And they won’t survive even a light snack, you know that. In my collection there is a lipstick that is called long-lasting. I don’t argue with this; it stays on the lips perfectly for a couple of hours. And here, so to speak, they overdid their promises.

Feel when applied, of course, they are very pleasant, as if you were applying an ordinary, well-moisturizing lipstick with a glossy, pleasant shine, a la “watershine”. If you close your lips, you can move them in different directions, distributing the lipstick. After 5-10 minutes, the shine is no longer so obvious, it is absorbed, and after half an hour the glossy wet shine disappears. And if you close your lips, you will no longer be able to “move” them in different directions; your lips will seem to stick to each other. I applied the tea rose shade, walked around the shops for an hour, came home, the lipstick was not gone, the color remained the same, but at home I wanted to quickly erase what was on my lips. It seemed a little heavy for me.

It doesn’t dry out your lips like long-lasting lipstick, well, actually because it’s not like that. The peeling is emphasized, but not immediately, but after some time, as it settles well.

It has a pleasant, caramel smell.

Let's summarize characteristics:

-Smell nice;

- Texture gentle, pleasant, easily spreads over the lips;

Eat slight shine, no matte velvety (the shade “Tea Rose” has tiny golden sparkles);

- Sustainable, but not persistent;

- Peeling when worn they will be visible, but not much, I even expected the worst. I was pleased with the lipstick here.

A little about the shade. Here I took a photo of the lipstick immediately after application.

Then we went, as expected on a day off, to go about our business and shopping, and immediately upon arrival (and this was 3 hours later), I took a picture of my lips. I don’t know what I did with my lips, I only remember that I was actively talking, there were no snacks, but here is the result...

A company similar to Oriflame has long-lasting lipstick in such a cute narrow tube with the smell of vanilla ice cream, it really lasts, and also costs 2 times less. When there is something to compare with, I can say for sure that I like her, and my hand reaches out to her. And you can order Oriflame lipstick just for the color, because the variety is good and the colors are so modern, very beautiful.

Let's compare what's in the catalog and what's in real life. But I will say that my catalog photo came out darker, and the colors in the catalog turned out to be very similar in real life.

Opinion on other lip products:

- shade Peach soufflé (Stellari);

Coral lipstick continues to be one of the fashion favorites of 2016. This shade is softer than bright red tones, which is why many women love it.

Coral lipstick

Fashionable shades of lipstick

Coral lipstick

Among the current shades of coral color are the following:

Carrot,
- rowan,
- orange,
- salmon,
- orange.

All these tones can be very bright, or, conversely, light and light. They can be dense or transparent, shiny or matte. The main thing is that they have a noticeable coral tint.

The undoubted advantage of this color is that it makes you look very young. Agree, this is a strong argument in his favor!

Who does this lipstick suit?

Color of the skin
I’ll say right away that coral lipstick suits fair-skinned women most of all. You can safely use it if your skin is: white, creamy, ivory, creamy, with a slight yellowish tint.

Eye color
This lipstick looks best on women with light, transparent eyes: blue, gray, green. For those with light brown (honey, hazel) eyes, it can also go well.

Hair colors
Coral lipstick looks great on blondes. It also suits owners of light brown, chestnut, golden, copper, and red hair.

Who doesn't it suit?

Color of the skin
This lipstick is unlikely to suit dark-skinned women, as well as those with matte skin with an olive tint. They want other colors (see below for more on the different lipstick shades of 2016).

Eye color
Coral lipstick most likely will not suit brown-eyed and black-eyed beauties.

Hair colors
It is also not suitable for hot brunettes whose hair has a raven, eggplant or beetroot tint.

Coral support

Coral lipstick

Your image will be even more harmonious if you support your coral lipstick with any accessories located near your face. These additions should be in a color scheme similar to the shade of the lipstick, then you will look great.

Complement your coral lipstick with a scarf or scarf in a matching color. Or it could be beads, earrings, necklaces, hairbands, jumpers, glasses frames, etc. You can also support your lipstick shade with a manicure of the same color. People around you always notice such subtleties and think: “Oh, this woman has good taste!”

Decorative cosmetics in a suitable range

Coral eye shadow and blush

Coral lipstick will look especially impressive if you support it with matching makeup in similar tones as you see in the picture.

Almost every girl loves to create brilliant, memorable images. And if you choose to focus on your lips, then you won’t find a better option than a coral palette. But at the same time, it is necessary to be very neat with the tone, because you and I want to look excellent, and not incomprehensibly how. First of all, it is worth noting the fact that lipstick of this shade is considered multifunctional.

So it can be used by both a girl and a mature woman. As for the time of year when this color on the lips will be extremely popular, it is summer. This is the time when you want to refresh your face and look shiny.

But before we start discussing options for combining this type of decorative cosmetics with eye shadow, mascara and blush, let’s study the issue of positive color choice and decide who it suits best.

Coral lipstick: who suits it best

When choosing a shade, strictly consider the color type of your appearance. Let's say, if you have dark hair, then all famous makeup artists recommend sticking to darker colors. For example, brown-haired women can easily use wine or cool berry colors. But blondes may prefer a shiny carrot or sexy red palette.

Remember that the orange palette certainly does not suit dark skin, and the combination of clear hair and carrot color can look vulgar. In general, before purchasing one or another shade, do not hesitate to use a sampler. Moreover, it is desirable to see how one or another color looks in conditions of normal and unnatural lighting.

How to prefer and positively apply coral lipstick

Before applying coral cosmetics to your lips, you should know about several of its features:

  • This shade will definitely refresh your face, but at the same time you can highlight everything.
    skin imperfections. Therefore, before applying makeup, be sure to mask all skin imperfections with the help of a toner;
  • If your teeth are yellowish, then you should not use this color of lipstick, because in this case the situation will only worsen;
  • A similar shade on the lips is well suited for both daytime and evening makeup. But at the same time, you should not forget that during the day it is best to use more muted tones. But for the evening you can prefer shiny and intense shades;
  • Lipstick can be replaced with coral gloss if your lips are tight. This way you will visually enlarge them and make them more plump.
  • Well, of course, you shouldn’t forget about the basic rule: if you emphasize your lips, then eye makeup should be minimal.

Also, avoid shimmery eyeshadow tones when applying coral shades of lip gloss. Tea, if you apply them at the same time, the makeup will come out in the eighties genre, which is not particularly fashionable now.

    Coral lipstick: application rules

The first thing you need to remember if you decide to use shiny tones: carefully care for the skin of your lips.

The reason is quite primitive: shiny makeup invariably attracts attention. And if your lips begin to peel, then your appearance will be hopelessly ruined.

By the way, if you are afraid to immediately use shiny lipstick, then you can start with translucent gloss in the same color scheme. But we recommend adding a little lipstick to the shine, and over time you will understand that a shiny shade also looks good.

Those who constantly suffer from smearing of the coloring matter behind the silhouette should use a special silicone primer. He will also be able to prevent cosmetics from flowing into the wrinkles at the corners of the lips.

And one more rule for beautiful lips: take care of the condition of your teeth. The fact is that the look of any makeup with coral lipstick emphasizes the yellowness of the teeth. Therefore, if you have already decided on this shade, then be sure to whiten your teeth in advance.

Makeup with coral lipstick for brunettes

Brunettes have an extremely brilliant appearance and for this reason you need to be careful when choosing makeup
Observably, from the fact that instead of an attractive and sexy image you can create a vulgar one. But coral lipstick is wonderful for girls with this type of appearance.

To create a beautiful look, lipstick alone is not sufficient. You will also need powder, eye shadow, eyeliner and mascara.

Let's start with the powder. If you have dark hair, then the optimal tone will be tan. But for brunettes with clear brown hair, powder of a natural color is best suited; you can also use powder with a slight pink tint.

As for the shadows, your choice should be brownish or purple shades. Color may vary depending on eye color.

The same goes for the color of your eyebrow pencil. You may prefer brown or black depending on your hair color.

Makeup with coral lipstick for blondes

The delicate and feminine appearance of blondes allows them to use only clear coral shades. If you decide to use a darker color, remember that you will look much older. A specific feature of makeup for blondes is the presence of a little shine in the product. This specificity is due to the fact that matte shades make the faces of blondes lifeless.

Also, do not forget about the correct selection of powder, blush and eye shadow. The basic rule in this case: no shiny shades. Everything should be a soft pink color with pearlescent particles to give the skin a slight glow.

Makeup with a pink palette for brown-haired women

For those with dark brown or clear brown hair, virtually all shades of coral lipstick are suitable.

But at the same time, be careful to choose a shade with a cool undertone. This way you can add a touch of sensuality to your appearance.

You should also forget about the radiance. Considering the fact that your hair is already quite bright, applying shine may be inappropriate.

As you can see, the right coral lipstick can do wonders for your appearance.

But even if your makeup came out wonderful, you shouldn’t forget about your inner feelings. You must feel like a queen! Don't hunch over, raise your head, pull in your stomach and walk proudly through life.

And then every world will be at your feet!

The red shade of lipstick has not gone out of fashion for the second season, and in 2016, nude, hot pink and orange-red shades also rose to the peak of popularity. Who should wear coral lipstick and what are the secrets to choosing and using a fresh, bold and beautiful color.

Mixing yellow and red in certain proportions produces shades of a wide range of colors of varying intensities, going beyond the definition of “orange.”

The name "coral" comes from the name of the exoskeletons of marine polyps, which have about 350 color options.

The coral range includes both bright terracotta colors and pastel pink shades. The wealth of color variations constantly attracts the attention of stylists. Recently, this color has been extremely popular in clothing, and in 2016, designers' sympathies switched to orange.

    Who suits coral lipstick color?

The coral palette is quite versatile. From pearlescent pink to raspberry-coral - there are a lot of shades suitable for everyone, all kinds of looks and for different moods.

Determine the color type based on your wrist. If the veins show through in purple and blue, the skin has a cool undertone. Greenish vessels are a sign of a “warm” palette.

Light eyes and hair, transparent skin with a golden tone are signs of a “spring” appearance. Typical “springs” - Gwyneth Paltrow, Svetlana Khodchenkova. Warm, as if illuminated by the sun, refreshing and bright coral shades are ideal for spring girls:

    Pink-pearl.
    Peach and apricot.
    Pink-orange.
    Coral-golden.
    Neon pink.
    "Poppy color."

The “summer” color type is more diverse in characteristics, sometimes even reminiscent of the “winter” type. The skin can be white with a cool undertone and olive. Hair ranges from light to brown, and eyes are most often light blue, gray-blue, green amber-brown. There are also brown-eyed representatives of the “summer” color type. Vivid examples: Anne Hathaway, Keira Knightley, Sarah Jessica Parker. Coral lipsticks suitable for lips:

    Beige-pearl.
    Pink-peach.
    Light pink coral.
    Pink coral.
    Coral-terracotta.
    Red-orange.
    Coral pink-purple.
    Raspberry-coral.

“Autumn” is women with soft features and a warm color palette: fair skin, highlighted with gold, hair from light brown to brown, but always “with a red streak.” The eyes are gray to brown with a bright contrast between the whites and the cornea. This description includes: Drew Barrymore, Gisele Budchen, Julianne Moore. Coral lipsticks look great on them. Especially such rich and muted shades:

    Pale peach.
    Pink-peach.
    Orange-pink.
    Rusty coral.
    Raspberry coral.
    Coral with red undertones.
    Carrot.

The “winter” color type is difficult to confuse with others. This is a bright, eye-catching contrast: dark hair, porcelain pale skin and deep eye color: blue, green, gray or. Characteristic appearance: Liv Tyler, Eva Green, Monica Bellucci, Demi Moore, Katy Perry. For “cold” undertones of appearance, lipstick with the same “notes” in coral color is also suitable:

    Light pink.
    Red.
    Hot pink.
    Cold brown.
    Lilac-raspberry.
    Strawberry.

Brunettes should not use pearlescent coral lipsticks.

Since there are few representatives of “pure” color types of appearance, and the prevailing majority are “mixed”, you should not follow the advice on choosing shades literally. After all, a “winter girl,” thanks to tanning and bronzers, can easily turn into a “summer girl.” And the “summer” type, with the help of a shatushka, becomes “autumn” in a few hours. In addition, always take into account the color of clothing and the overall style of the image.

    Features of using coral lipsticks

The coral range of lipsticks suits almost everyone, taking into account the long-known features of using red-orange lipsticks in color:

Corals on the lips create an energetic halo to the image and refresh the complexion. But they tend to highlight skin imperfections. Problem areas should be carefully masked with a corrector, because orange-red “reveals” redness under the eyes.
The coral tone emphasizes the yellowness of the teeth. Cool shades with a pink tint that contains blue or purple pigment can hide the imperfect color of a smile.
Bright colors require lip care to avoid flaking and careful application. Makeup artists recommend using a silicone-based primer to prevent the contour from blurring.
Orange-coral lipstick should “stand alone.” The hackneyed truth: “Either eyes or lips” still applies in the case of orange shades.

By holding open tubes of lipstick to your face, you can simply choose the right shade of coral lipstick.

Carrot orange lipstick was popular in the 50s, and in the 80s matte color options gained recognition. Muted pastel colors of coral are out of fashion, as confirmed by celebrity images over the years. In 2016, berry and red-coral shades are in fashion and look great:

With makeup or plain smokey eyes.
With neutral and brown-smoky, purple and greenish shadows.
With blush to match. But the brighter the lipstick, the more “balanced” the blush should be.

Bright pink-orange shades give self-confidence, energy, cheerfulness and positivity. They add flirtatiousness to the image, without the entourage of a femme fatale vamp. Coral lipstick is amazingly suitable for both girls and adult women. The main thing is to find the shade that suits you.
