Description of knitting openwork gum
Cast on a number of stitches in multiples of 6 plus 2 hem stitches.

Shawl pattern for knitting a scarf
You can do it easily and simply by knitting a scarf in garter stitch. That is, we knit all the rows on both sides with facial loops. Garter stitch looks good on soft and fluffy threads.
In the photo below, a scarf knitted with a shawl pattern, alternating with rows knitted with front stitch. The end of the scarf is decorated with a pattern of front and back loops. The pattern is shown above. The main fabric of the scarf is knitted with alternating patterns as follows:
42 rows - shawl pattern (even and odd rows - facial loops);
2 rows - shawl pattern (odd row - front loops, even row - also front loops);
4 rows - front surface (odd rows - front loops, even rows - according to the pattern - purl loops);
we repeat the alternation from the very beginning.
