Good afternoon, dear needlewomen and all blog readers!

Continuing the summer theme in knitting, I want to offer you a very special one, namely a blanket with sunflowers.

Of course, you can find a wide variety of beautiful crocheted blankets, I have already talked about some of them. And now I liked this bright sunny blanket, with a completely simple pattern. A special effect is created by the combination of the main brown color with yellow sunflowers.

Our sunflower fields are in bloom right now. Even from my house you can see this beauty in the distance. And when you drive a car near the fields, you can’t take your eyes off it at all.

Most recently we looked at them for pillows; they can also be used for knitting blankets. With this example, I want to talk about crocheting a blanket with beautiful squares.

Crochet. Beautiful blankets with sunflowers

To crochet such beautiful blankets, you can use any wool blend yarn, but I prefer acrylic.

In our case, you will need yellow, brown and beige or orange yarn.

The main background of the squares from which the blanket will be assembled is made in dark green and tied with beige yarn in one version of the blanket, and white and brown in the other.

When tying the squares with sunflowers and assembling the blanket, brown (or white in another) color was used.

You can choose any color from the proposed beautiful crochet pattern for a blanket, and I will further describe how to knit a blanket in brown and green tones.

I can’t say exactly how much yarn is needed. Typically, about 2-2.5 kg of yarn is spent on a large blanket for a sofa. If we assume that in this case we use yarn of 4 colors, it means that we will need approximately 500 grams of each color. If you plan to make a smaller blanket, then accordingly less yarn will be required.

We select the hook according to the thickness of the yarn.

How to knit a blanket from squares with sunflowers

In this case, we will consider a pattern with sunflowers, but in principle, any pattern can be knitted this way.

We chose the square motif we liked and knitted a large number of them for a long time, but with pleasure.

In the summer, it’s unlikely that anyone will do this, so we’ll knit during the long winter evenings. In the meantime, we are collecting ideas. I wonder if anyone already knitted a blanket last winter? We had a lot of ideas.

The pattern for knitting the sunflower motif is very simple.

Let's figure it out.

We cast on 8 VPs with brown yarn and close it into a ring.

1st row: 3VP for lifting, 15С1Н.

2nd row: single crochet above each stitch of the previous row and 1 ch between them.

3rd row: attach beige yarn -1sc under the chain loop, 2sc in the column of the previous row.

We knit the 4th row again with brown yarn - 1 sc in the column of the previous row, 1 VP above the column of the previous row.

5th row: attach a yellow thread, three unfinished stitches with two yarn overs, knitted together, into the chain loop of the previous row and 2 ch between them.

You should get 24 petals.

6th row: attach a green thread. We tie the sunflower, forming a square.

5VP, 1SC under the chain loops of the previous row, 1VP, *1SC in the next arch, 2VP, 1SC in the same arch, 1VP*, repeat 5 times, 1SC in the next arch, 3VP, 1SC, 1VP and so on. Thus, 4 corners have already begun to emerge.

7th row: knit from the corner, 4VP, 1S3N, 2VP, 2S3N, 1VP, 1S2N, 1VP, 1S1N, 1VP, 1S1N, 1VP, 1SBN, 1VP, 1SBN, 1VP, 1SBN at the top point of the motif and then in reverse order until next corner.

8th – 11th rows: with beige yarn we knit as the 2nd row, in the corners 2VP.

12th, 13th row: with brown yarn we tie a square motif with single crochets, in the corners 3 ch.

Assembling squares into a beautiful plaid

The squares can be connected to each other in the process of knitting the last row of each next square, or you can sew all the ready-made square motifs together, as is more convenient for you.

We tie the finished blanket in two rows of brown yarn:

1st row: like 2nd row of square motif.

2nd row: *2VP, connecting column*. In the corners - repeat three times.

A beautiful crocheted blanket with sunflowers will create comfort and a summer mood.

Or this:

The theme of sunflowers has not yet been exhausted. Next time I will tell you about my little work, which I finally finished. Don't miss publications or blog news by email!

And here is the complete collection of blankets from our blog:

Coziness, a warm and comfortable atmosphere in the house largely depends on the woman. After all, it is the housewife who can arrange life in such a way that even the most ordinary household items become decoration. You can, for example, crochet beautiful napkins. There are many ideas and schemes. The sunflower flower, for example, is a symbol of wealth and prosperity. Crocheted sunflower napkin pattern and description are discussed in this article.

Napkin “Sunflower”

We will need:

  • yarn, 100% cotton, yellow and black;
  • hook No.0.95.

Description

The “Sunflower” napkin is crocheted according to the pattern. We start each row with 3 VP lifts, replacing STS1N.

  • 1st round: dial 8 VPs, close them in a ring. We knit 20 StS1H into it;
  • 2p.: in each stitch we knit 1 StS1H, separated by 1 VP;
  • 3p.: in each point of the base 1 StS1H;
  • 4p.: in each point of the base 2 StS1H, separated by 2 v. P.;
  • 5r.: in each arch of 2 c. p. previous row knit 2 StS1N, 2 in. p., 2 StS1N;
  • 6r.: like 5r. plus 2 v. P.;
  • 7r.: 5r. plus 3 v. P.;
  • 8r.: 5r. plus 4 v. P.;
  • 9r.: 5r. plus 5 v. P.;
  • 10r.: 5r. plus 6 v. P.

The photo shows the resulting part. We cut the thread, fasten it, and hide the end. If the Sunflower napkin frays slightly, don’t worry. With further work this drawback will disappear.

We connect the yellow yarn conn. p. and continue:

  • 11r.: in the arch before. R. from 2 ch. 2 tbsp. s/2n, 2 air. p., 2 tbsp. s/2n, 5 air. p., 9 tbsp. s/2n in the arch before. R. from 2 air p., 5th century n. We repeat the algorithm for the entire circle. R.;
  • 12 rub.: 2 tbsp. s/1n in the arch before. r., 2 air. Pet., 2 tbsp/1n, 4 air. p., 9 tbsp. s/2n plus air. pet. In each point of the base of the fan from double stitched stitch with 2 stitches. prev r., 4 air. n. We repeat the algorithm for the entire circle. R.;

  • 14 rubles: repeat the previous one. algorithm, reducing the number of arches from 4 carts. p. up to 7;
  • 15 rubles: repeat the previous one. algorithm, reducing the number of arches from 4 air. p. up to 6;
  • 16th: the beginning of the row has changed, according to the scheme - 2 StS1N, 2 air. p., 2 StS1N, 2 v. n., 2 StS1N, 4 v. p., we continue to knit arches in a quantity of 5 pieces;
  • from 17r. 21 rubles each: let’s start crocheting a petal. In the outer arch before. R. knit 2 posts. from 1 ac. 2 air pet, 2 columns with 1 air, 4 air pet., 4 arches, 4 air. pet., 2 double stitches with 1 nak., 2 air. p., 2 st.

Turn the knitting;

  • again 2 columns. from 1 ac. 2 air pet, 2 columns with 1 air, 4 air pet., 3 arches, 4 air. pet., 2 double stitches with 1 nak., 2 air. p., 2 st. Turn the knitting;

At will, quantity of air. n. you can do less than recommended in cx. - this way the product turns out better.

2 pillars with 1 nak-house, 2 air. p., 2 st-bika with 1 nak-house, conn. n. with the center of the arch before. r., 2 st-bika with 1 nak-house, 2 air. p., 2 st-biks with 1 nak-house.

We have completed knitting the petal. Fasten the thread and cut it.

We fasten the thread to the starting point of knitting the next petal and repeat the algorithm. This is how we complete all the petals. We hide the tails of the threads. Steam the napkin, pre-starch it.

Napkin “Lacy sunflower”

We will need:

  • yarn – black (brown) and yellow;
  • hook according to the thickness of the yarn.

Above the fragment of 3 s/s1n, 2 s/s1n, 3 s/s1n we knit 3 s/s1n, 2 s/s, 3 s/s1n, 2 s/s, 3 s/s1n in an arch of 2 s/s between 3 columns of the previous fragment. R. Continue with 4 v/p, arch of 4 v/p with pillar b/n in the base of the arches, 4 v/p. and repeat the algorithm for the entire row.

From the next row we will knit the sunflower not in the round, but element by element: each petal separately:

  • 16r.: The knitting technique is visible step by step in the photo. Next, the “Pineapple” pattern was applied, i.e., a gradual decrease in the number of arches in the center. On the edges we continue knitting as before. cx.

Penultimate r. – see photo: along the edges of the shell, between them there are two chains of VP, which fit together at the top of the RLS

We connect the shells together and knit 3 stitches into their centers.

We crochet the remaining petals in the same way.

We steam the finished “Sunflower” napkin, fix it on a horizontal surface according to the required dimensions and dry it.

Napkins “Sunflowers”: MK video

Jacquard napkin "Sunflower"

We will need:

  • yarn in white, green, yellow and brown colors;
  • hook according to the thickness of the yarn (in our case No. 3).

Description

Use brown yarn to make an amigurumi ring.

  • 1st row: 3 VP lifts and 15 DC in the ring;

Tighten the ring well by the end of the thread. We connect the last post to the 3rd point of the rise;

  • 2p.: 3 high rises, in each paragraph before. R. we knit 2 dc. It turns out 32 Stsn. We finish this row and all subsequent SS in the 3rd point of the rise;
  • 3rd row: 3 single rises, then – StS/N, and from every 4th we knit 2 StS/N. As a result - 40 stlb. Performing a SS at the end of the row, we switch to yellow yarn: we pull the yellow thread through 3 sts and through two sts on the hook.

We cut the brown thread, fasten the end and, together with the tail of yellow yarn, knit it into a circle, laying it along the row;

This is how we knit a sunflower in a circle. We complete the SS in the 3rd military station. The petal already consists of 6 StS/H. We knit non-working threads into the fabric during the work process;

  • 5p.: 3 single stitches, 2 double stitches, knit 2 double stitches from the outermost stitch, change the yarn to green, 1 double stitch, change the thread again, from 1 stitch - 2 double stitches, 4 double stitches, from 1 dc – 2 dc, change thread. The fragment already has 8 tbsp, 1 tbsp. s/n green. Connect the circle;
  • 7p.: 3 v/p, 4 Stsn, in the last column of the previous one. R. - a column of yellow yarn, in it - 1 Sts, green, 2 Sts. At the same time, in the 2nd of them we again return to the yellow color. Next - 8 Sts, in the last one we switch to green. as recommended above. 1 Sts, in the same loop with a yellow thread 1 Sts, then 8 s/n stitches, next. switch to green and continue the scheme. We complete the circle SS in the 3rd v/p. It turned out to be 10 stitches in the petal, 3 stitches in the leaf.
    • 11r.: 3 air. n., 1 column. with nak. yellow; color change: 5 columns. with nak. white, double column; replacement color: 5 columns s/n green. 1 doubled. art., 5 column. with a white crochet; replacement color: 2 columns with a yellow crochet. 5 pillar double crochet, 1 double crochet. pillar. white. 5 pillar with a green crochet. By analogy, we knit it to the end. Having completed the 8th petal, cut the yellow yarn and tie its end into the fabric.

    After the last green stem, we cut this thread and hide the tail;

    • 14p.: Crochet the edge, performing a crab step.

    Steam the finished napkin.

    Crocheted hot pot “Sunflower”: video master class

Good afternoon

And again about sunflowers. I've been meaning to crochet a sunflower for a long time.

Although I never thought before that I would do any kind of crafts, I only knitted pullovers and vests, sometimes napkins, I almost never had to knit.

But it turns out that for wealth and happiness at home you need to have sunflowers (and also)! So you have to link.

Seriously speaking, since the creation of the blog, thanks to the enormous possibilities of the Internet, I now want to implement many interesting ideas, especially since I really like sunflowers in the interior. I have already tried to decorate a small cabinet in the kitchen with images of sunflowers. And knitting for the home especially gives great pleasure.

I thought for a long time about how to crochet a sunflower, either in the form of a potholder or a napkin, then I began to lean toward the idea of a refrigerator magnet with coffee beans in the center, this idea is very popular now.

But as always, there is one thing - time! Every day I hear from everyone, where can I find time? Why is he so missed?

One day I saw on the Internet a photo of an interesting panel in the form of a simple bright flower. And here it is - inspiration! And the time was immediately found! True, just a little bit, so the knitting took a long time, but now I want to show what an almost real crocheted sunflower flower I got.

Crochet sunflower master class

I specially bought the yarn for crocheting a sunflower in the store - my favorite half-woolen yarn for needlework in yellow and green.

Hook – number 2.

For the panel you will also need:

  • seeds
  • glue Moment
  • cardboard
  • scissors
  • a little ribbon for the loop.

Knitting the central part of the sunflower

Everything is simple here, you need to knit a regular circle with single crochets. We cast on 6 VP with yellow yarn and close it into a ring. I decided to make the central part yellow - this is exactly the color of a sunflower in nature. Of course, you can knit it with brown or black yarn in lush columns that imitate seeds. But I did it differently.

In the first row there are 12 columns, in the second we add one column to each column of the previous row, in the 3rd row we add increments through one column, in the 4th row we add through two columns and so on according to the rule of knitting a circle until the required size.

The size of my circle is 14 cm in diameter.

Knitting sunflower petals

For the petal we collect 16 VP.

We knit single crochets on this chain (we knit the first stitch on the 5th loop of the chain).

We reach our circle, 1 connecting post under the loop of the circle.

We turn the work and continue knitting on the other side of the chain as follows:

1VP, 1СБН, 2С1Н, 6С2Н, 2С1Н, 2СБН, at the end of the chain – 5 СБН in one loop.

2СБН, 2С1Н, 6С2Н, 2С1Н, 1СБН, 1 connecting post under the circle loop (the central part of the sunflower).

We stretch the thread with connecting posts through two loops of the base of the petal and 3 loops of the last row of the central part of the sunflower.

On the third loop we begin to knit the next petal.

In this way we crochet all the sunflower petals.

Because the petals are close together, they overlap each other somewhat. We straighten them one at a time: one petal from below, one from above. This creates the effect of two rows of petals.

A crocheted sunflower is almost emerging; we still need to knit the leaves for it.

Knitting twigs with leaves

We knit a twig with leaves in the same way as a sunflower petal.

We dial a long chain of VPs (I dialed 60).

We tie it with columns on both sides, at the same time tying out the leaves first on one side, then on the other.

For the leaf, just like when knitting a sunflower petal, we knit a chain of 16 VP and tie it as follows:

1VP, 1СБН, 1С1Н, 2С2Н, 3С3Н, 2С2Н, 2С1Н, 2СБН, at the end of the chain - 5 СБН in one loop and then in the reverse order on the other side of the chain.

After about 10 stitches of the twig, I knitted another leaf.

Sunflower panel

Iron the finished parts using a damp cloth.

Cut out a circle from cardboard with a slightly larger diameter than the central part of the sunflower so that it covers part of the base of the petals.

Glue the sunflower flower onto the cardboard, and do not forget to insert a loop of braid between them.

Glue the twig with leaves onto a piece of cardboard, and then cut out and glue this part to the sunflower flower.

Now all that remains is to decorate the flower with seeds – the real ones!

Glue the seeds in a circle.

I was in the mood for long, painstaking and boring work, but it turned out that everything was not so scary. It only took 30 minutes!

It’s autumn outside, but my soul longs for the continuation of summer. Bright accents in your interior and wardrobe will help prolong this wonderful warm season. And here you cannot do without the constant companion of the sun - the sunflower. It is very easy to do it yourself. Even beginner knitters can crochet a napkin or an elegant brooch. There are several ways to crochet a sunflower; the diagram and description are presented below:

Tools and materials Time: 2-3 hours Difficulty: 2/10

  • knitting yarn in chocolate brown, green and yellow;
  • hook, according to the thickness of the yarn;
  • scissors;
  • beads or beads;
  • thread and needle;
  • brooch pin;
  • foam rubber

Lesson 1. Napkin “Sunflower”

Step-by-step description with diagram

Step 1: Knitting the Middle

We start crocheting a sunflower from the middle. To do this, you need to take chocolate brown yarn and a hook. We start knitting by setting a chain of 5 air loops. We close the chain into a ring with a connecting loop. Next, we continue knitting according to the pattern shown in the photo:

The pattern uses double crochets combined into one “lush column” alternating with air loops.

So, in the second row you need to knit 5 “lush columns”, which are separated from each other using 4 air loops.

Next, we knit lifting loops (3 pieces) and continue circular knitting with “lush columns”. IN third row their number doubles. The number of dividing air loops between the columns remains the same.

IN fourth row the number of “lush columns” doubles again, and the dividing air loops become slightly smaller - not 4, but 3.

Fifth row completes the middle of the product. There is no increase in the number of “lush columns”; their number remains the same and is equal to 20. There are more dividing air loops. Their number is 4.

Step 2: Knitting Flower Petals

To knit petals you will need yellow yarn. The thickness of the yarn should not differ from the thickness of the previous thread.

We begin knitting by fixing the thread and knitting three lifting loops. Next, you need to knit 6 more air loops and secure the chain on the already knitted workpiece in the places indicated in the diagram (see above). After this, we continue knitting by casting on 8 air loops and then fixing the chain on the product. In total, you need to knit 20 chains or arches.

The next row must be knitted with double crochets. Each stitch is knitted in one loop. The only exception is the air loops at the top of each arch. This loop must be knitted immediately along the double crochet. Subsequent rows are knitted similarly, in accordance with the pattern (see above).

The last row of the napkin can be knitted with chocolate brown threads to give the product contrast and expressiveness.

If desired, you can tie a stem and leaves of green yarn to the napkin. The pattern of knitting leaves and stems is illustrated in detail in the photo:

This is the crochet sunflower you should get according to the above diagram and description:

Lesson 2. Brooch “Sunflower”

Step 1: knitting the warp

We start knitting from the base. To do this, you need to take yellow yarn and a hook that matches the thickness of the yarn. First, we make an arugumi loop. Then we knit 7 single crochets and tighten the loop.

Next, we form the petals. To do this, you need to cast on a chain of 10-12 air loops (the number of loops depends on the desired length of the petals). We knit the chain towards the base using single crochets. Next, we fix the chain on the base. After this, we continue tying the petal with single crochets (2 times). After the first petal is knitted, move along the base 6 stitches to the left and continue knitting the second petal according to the same pattern.

Step 2: Knitting the Middle

To decorate the middle you will need brown yarn and beads. We knit in the round, without adding loops. It is necessary to knit with a thread on which beads or seed beads have already been pre-strung.

When the core is ready, it can be sewn to the base, after placing foam rubber between them to give it a convex shape.
