I’ll tell you a little more about the Lithuanian tradition of celebrating Easter. Or Velykos, as they call it here.
Two days ago, my group and I visited the Panevezys Local History Museum (Panevėžio kraštotyros muziejus), where we were told about Easter traditions.
Lithuanians are the last people in Europe to accept Christianity. And not on the first try. Therefore, all seemingly Christian holidays have a second, ancient meaning that the pagans put into them. So Velikos is not only the holiday of the Resurrection of Christ, but also the holiday of the Cycle and Infinity of Life on Earth.
A week before Easter, Palm Sunday (Verbų Sekmadienis) is celebrated. Everyone goes to church with these thorny brooms and willows. I didn’t remember the name of this plant, and I don’t know Russian either. Some kind of spruce. The brooms are blessed during the service, and a week later, on Easter morning, the one who woke up first must use this broom to “float” all those sleeping on the exposed parts of the body. May they have health, strength, love, luck and prosperity this year. And the “steamer” himself will have a particularly successful year =) After Easter, this broom is kept at home until next year, as a sign of good luck and against the evil eye, and then burned. 
One of the traditions common to the Slavs is dyeing Easter eggs. An egg is a symbol of new life, endless life, the impossibility of answering the question of what came first, a bird or an egg. According to ancient myths, the whole world originated from the Egg. Both people and all living beings. But if we simply paint eggs in different colors, Lithuanians still paint them with various symbols and ornaments.
This is how eggs were painted about a century ago. This photo is from the museum. They are painted the same way today. 
The design is applied using wax. 
Or scratched on the shell of a painted egg.
The painting uses ancient pagan symbols, which are often combined into a strip of the “snake’s back” ornament and convey their magical meaning to the design.
It is a symbol of masculine strength and fortitude. Renewal of the energy of life, love and health. 
Symbol of the Earth and its fertility, sign of the Tree of Life. A sign of beauty, health and love. 
The Cross (Križius) is the strongest and most ancient symbol of Fire or Swastika. Symbol of Life Force and Fertility. It is assumed that it originated in the days when people made fire by rubbing two wooden sticks. They formed a cross... 
This is a symbol of the endless Wheel of Life. Life without beginning and end. The eternal cycle of changing seasons, changing generations, a symbol of the four cardinal directions. The sign protects the house from troubles, fires and the evil eye. 
This sign is called Žirgeliai or Skates. It symbolizes a pair of Horses pulling the carts of the Gods, both heavenly and underground. To enlist the help of the Gods, people decorated the roofs of their houses with these Skates. Remember the "ridge of the roof" =) 
Color also has its meaning. Red is the color of blood and vitality, yellow brings a rich harvest, green is the color of plant leaves, black is the color of fertile soil, blue is the color of the sky.
The boiled eggs are first decorated with wax, using a thin needle with a “cap” at the end, and then dipped in colored water. You can apply wax in several stages and paint the egg in different colors. Then the drawing will be multi-colored. They paint eggs in a good mood and under no circumstances should they think bad thoughts. After all, applying an ornament is magic, a ritual, and everything that we put into it will come back to us.

It is very important to clean your home before Maundy Thursday so that there is a smell of freshness everywhere. And then you can go to the bathhouse yourself.
It is very important that in the house, above the Easter table, there is a figure of a bird hanging. According to ancient Lithuanians, birds are the place where the souls of ancestors find shelter. By hanging the bird in the house, they invite their ancestors to a festive meal.
