Fairytale paper snowflakes

You can make beautiful decorations using paper snowflakes

Beautiful snowflakes, hand-cut from paper, enliven the festive decoration of a house or apartment, make the atmosphere in the office more comfortable, and decorate windows and walls in kindergartens and school classrooms.

Cheap and beautiful - what more could you ask for from a temporary but interesting creation? The anticipation of a holiday begins with cutting out snowflakes from paper for a child, no matter what age he is: from three years old to elementary school. The upper age limit is very conditional: now they have come up with such snowflakes that even older children will be interested in this activity with pleasure. Moreover, the technique of making complex winter decorations requires good skills in using scissors, if not talent; often one cannot do without diagrams and templates b. Even though paper snowflakes may only live for a month, they will do their job: children will be proud of the creation of their skillful hands. And guests will not ignore such crafts, they will definitely look at each one and, perhaps, will also want to try to make their own unique and inimitable snow patterns.

You need to start with choosing paper. White office is the most common. Among all its varieties, the one that is denser is more suitable. This choice is good for hanging snowflakes. If you plan to glue them to windows, you can use thinner paper: it will be easier to cut out patterns.
Scissors are thin, sharp, with sharp ends. If a child’s age is not yet ready to work with such scissors, then he needs to take a safer tool, and the adult himself will help the young creator cut out the most difficult areas.
If you decide to work with a ready-made template for a drawing, then you need to download it and cut it out of cardboard. A sharpened pencil will be needed when you draw the pattern yourself.
Paper snowflakes are not only white. They turn out beautiful from colored paper. You just need to choose double-sided.

How to fold paper snowflakes

Cut out a square from paper. It doesn’t matter how big it is, a snowflake can be cut out from the smallest leaf.
We bend it diagonally, unfold the sheet and bend it again along the other diagonal.
We place the sharp corners of the triangles behind its apex so that when folded they form a rhombus inside the product.

Then we fold the resulting sheet along the line of symmetry. Using scissors, cut off the protruding parts of the triangle. The result is the base of a twelve-sided snowflake.
We apply a pattern to the workpiece. In this case, the side of the common fold will become the base, the acute angle will become the center of the product.
On this basis it will be possible to cut out completely unique and inimitable patterns. It all depends on imagination and skill. Even if a child comes up with the simplest drawing, the snowflake will still turn out very beautiful.

Simple paper snowflakes - cutting templates for little ones

Older people remember that such snowflakes were always cut out at school. Everyone knew how to make them: both boys and girls. Everyone liked that they could be made simply and quickly, and any child could do such creativity. Such snowflakes have not lost their popularity today. Start your lessons with your child with the simplest models. Having coped with such a task, the child will believe in himself and will boldly take on more complex options.
The principle of paper folding itself is simpler here. We bend the square in half, then in half again, and again. Each time the line of symmetry passes through the same corner of the triangle. We cut the workpiece so that we get a sharp triangle with equal sides. To do this, we trim its base.

Now let's draw the drawing. These examples are just a hint for a flight of fancy.
Below are ideas and printable templates:

Surely you will come up with your own drawings. Whatever they are, the snowflake will turn out beautiful and interesting.

More folds, more edges - making the patterns on snowflakes more complex

Snowflakes cut from paper are not the only things that differ in their patterns. They can also be different in the number of faces.
This is another vector for creative thought. If you fold the triangle twice, you get a tetrahedral snowflake. Its center is the obtuse angle of the triangle. This must be taken into account when drawing.

If you fold the triangle three times, you should get eight sides. But with the help of a pattern, the middle rays can be made shorter, and visually the snowflake will be tetrahedral.

A pattern with smooth, rounded lines will make the snowy beauty graceful and romantic. Geometric lines in the pattern will give the snowflake strict grace.

Geometry behind the snowflake pattern

This is where mathematics, or rather geometry, proves its beauty. Exact symmetry, regular figures - and the snowflake turns out scientifically correct. You just have to work with a compass and a ruler.
Here the circle comes into its own. This drawing is simple, but you can’t do it without a compass. An adult's help is needed when choosing the diameter and centers of the circle. But the child will receive the first skills of drawing figures. He will also like the beauty he has made.

But even a preschooler can easily master the topic of quadrangles. He will be able to draw several such figures.

Paper ballerina snowflakes - do-it-yourself templates for cutting

Garlands are often made from snowflakes cut out of paper. Vertical ones look especially beautiful, when one snowflake is attached above another and so on. The airiness and fragility of this decoration suggest another theme. You can attach a soaring ballerina in the middle of such a garland. The thin, graceful figure of a dancer in pointe shoes will crown the composition, making it even more original.

The task is a little more difficult. But for children of senior preschool age it is within their reach. At the same time, you can tell your child about ballet, remembering Plisetskaya, Pavlova, Ulanova and other outstanding Russian ballerinas. If a child is into dancing, then the young talent will definitely like this craft.

In what position your prima will freeze, choose for yourself. But, of course, a snowflake with the most delicate pattern will serve as a pack for her.

Your ballerina’s surroundings should be just as elegant: only then is it possible to see the completed pas de deux. The pattern of a ballerina's skirt is limited only by your imagination - choose any pattern with a hole in the center, for example:

Thinner pattern - more graceful snowflake

The more lines on the workpiece, the thinner they are, the more amazing the snowflake turns out. But this is already more difficult work. Start this activity when the child is ready for it. This requires both perseverance and already developed skills. Such a design is difficult to apply, but even more difficult to carefully cut it out. But what happens in the end if everything was successful! This is already a work of art.

Only nature can create more graceful snowflakes.

Snowflake with angels - a gift for Christmas

Following the New Year comes an important holiday - Christmas. Every child will want to prepare a gift for their loved ones, and an adult will help them. A snowflake with angels is a good idea for a holiday craft.

Apply the drawing using a template. It is very difficult to cut, so it is better to choose thinner paper. Very carefully and carefully straighten the snowflake. It is well suited for window decoration.

DIY complex snowflakes

It’s better to start making snowflakes from the “animals” series with the simplest things: lizards and a cat. If everything worked out, you can go further: try compositions with dogs and horses.

To make it easier to work with scissors, take thin paper. One more nuance: in some places where you need to make cuts inside the workpiece, use a stationery knife.
This task is suitable for younger students. It is not suitable for preschoolers.

Star Wars in the form of snowflakes

So that our boys are not left out of creativity, there is an interesting topic for them too. Let the kids cut out snowflakes with their favorite characters! It's not as difficult as snowflakes with compositions. You just need to apply a stencil. The drawing itself is large enough that even a preschooler can cut it out. Darth Vader, Ahsoka, Yoda or P2D2 - let the child choose which hero will become his snowflake.

How to make paper snowflakes for the New Year? (step-by-step diagrams for cutting)

Anyone can decorate windows with paper snowflakes if they have one like this on hand. Here's some information on how you can make all these snowflakes with your own hands. To make it easier for you, look at the basic principles of production. To do this you will need a sheet of A4 paper, a pencil and scissors.

A standard sheet of paper must be folded as shown in the figure.

But for now we need a standard triangle that we bend along the line in the figure.

From the resulting triangle you need to bend three more. See as shown in the picture below. For accuracy, use a ruler.

Fold one side along the line and draw along the fold line with your finger or the edge of a ruler.

Then we wrap the second side to the top. And we also draw along the fold line with the edge of the ruler.

And so the top of the triangle is the middle of the snowflake. Remember this. Now you can draw any pattern by hand, cut it along the contour, and then unfold the workpiece.

This is how my first fantasy turned out. Then you can download any templates, print them and get creative.

You can even do without printing. We attach the sheet to the monitor and trace the blanks, then cut them out.

To get rid of fold lines you need to use an iron. And then all your fluffy snowflakes will be smooth and beautiful. More stencils at the link.

You can also create a winter miracle using the accordion technique. This is also not difficult to do if you understand everything. We divide the A4 sheet into two parts by folding it in half. Fold along the short side. We get a sheet of C5 format.

Next, we fold each half into an accordion shape. Of course, try to make everything come out smooth and beautiful. In the middle we make a connection using a stapler.
We apply the design to both parts of the accordion and cut it out. Below in the pictures there are step-by-step photos from which you will immediately understand everything.

At the end, you need to straighten the accordion and glue the edges. Now all you have to do is admire the beauty made with your own hands.

Here is another instruction on how to cut out snowflakes from paper with your own hands.

Then we apply any of the following designs to the workpiece and cut it out.

This is what the cutting process with a knife looks like from the outside.

In general, as you can see, there are no restrictions in this technique. You can do whatever your heart desires. Such creativity can be made from newspaper or colored paper. Moreover, now the choice of colored paper is not the same as it was in the Union. Today you can find such colors that you will simply rock.

Let's consider other techniques for creating winter beauties. After all, in nature there are no two identical snowflakes. So we will need to add variety to our production. Look at the video where it is explained in an accessible form how to make a three-dimensional paper craft.

So, now you know several techniques for making winter fluff from paper. And you might want to create something different from everyone else. I offer several more more complicated options. Or even not the technique, but a few ideas on how you can make such crafts not like everyone else. Try and experiment on a simple notebook sheet of paper. Fold and apply your own design.
Sometimes you can achieve something more and it will be real creativity.

Take a look at these options, maybe something will give you an idea.

Sometimes the simplest options can turn into something more.

Or try making something similar to these snowflake templates. I think that everything should work out for you.

Stencils of snowflakes made of paper of different sizes with a fold

And so now you can move away from small sizes and move on to creating something big and huge. I propose to make the Queen of Snowflakes. To do this, you need to take a sheet of paper, fold it using the technology you are familiar with, and simply cut it out. After all, the larger the workpiece, the larger the craft will be. You can practice on a newspaper. And at the end, color the resulting copies the way you want.

New Year's snowflake-ballerina (can be downloaded and printed)

Well, of course, it is ballerinas who are compared to snowflakes, namely ballerinas who are as light and graceful as fluffy snowflakes. I offer you templates that you will need to print or trace on the monitor and cut out.

At the end, when the ballerina is ready, you will need to make a skirt from any blank that is in this article. We make a slot in the middle of the snowflake and thread the ballerina. Beauty and that's it.

All that remains is to hang the figurine on the rain or a thread. And beautiful ballerinas will soar in your room.

A4 size snowflake stencils for New Year 2020 for winter window decor

The production of snowflakes, as it turned out, is not such a simple matter and there are many directions in this area. How to cut out snowflakes using the punching technique (large pictures for Word)

Well, aren't you tired yet? No. Then I present to you a technique for making snowflakes called vytynanki. Or Russian clippings. The technique is essentially quite simple. We transfer the drawing to paper in any way and use a stationery knife or scalpel to cut along the lines. The mode is where there is a line, that’s all the technology is.

Here are the templates that you can use to learn how to make vytynanki. The templates, as they say, have a surprise in the middle, and are not particularly light at the edges. In principle, what can you say. It's hard to learn, but it's easy to fight. Try to cut and don’t be afraid, your eyes are afraid of your hands.

Paper snowflake angel (cutting templates included)

This technique can be said to be quite new and has not yet been tested by everyone. The crafts turn out to be so beautiful that at first glance you might not believe that you can make them yourself. In the middle of the snowflake you get a real angel.

Or you can make a separate angel. We cut out paper and glue them together to add volume.

Or here’s a version of a craft that can be made according to the same already familiar pattern.

Such options also have the right to life.

That's all I have for today. Well, how do you like the idea of creating paper snowflakes? I think that everyone can find something suitable for their skills and abilities. Don't be afraid to create such beauty with your own hands. Children love to create crafts; try to set aside a few hours for this so that you and your children can create such beauty for your home. Scheme of a beautiful paper snowflake

You are offered detailed instructions for creating a standard snowflake.

If any steps are unclear to you, you can find video instructions below.

1. Prepare a sheet of A4 paper and cut a square out of it. To do this, you need to fold the corner of the paper, pull it to the opposite edge and bend it. Then we cut off the extra piece and get a square.

Here's how it's done:

2. The triangle that you have obtained needs to be bent in half and placed with the top up.

3. Take the left edge of the triangle and pull it a little further than the middle.

After this, pull the overlap on the right edge.

* You can start bending the right edge first, and then the left.

* The main thing is that the edges do not protrude beyond each other.

4. Turn the workpiece over and cut the lower part according to the level of the strip you have obtained (see picture).

5. All that remains is to draw the pattern and cut it along the contour. Here are some examples:
