Traditional cross lacing method. Simplicity meets elegance in perpendicular lacing on the outside and oblique on the inside

10 creative ways to tie a scarf

Some designers offer to literally wrap you in a scarf from head to toe. We will not go into such extremes, although this is probably warm.

When choosing a tying method, you must first take into account the shape of the scarf, size, color and fabric. Silk scarves look spectacular and are very pleasant to the body.

1. Hooded scarf
(good option under a coat)

Suitable scarf type: any woolen or cashmere oblong scarf, pashmina.
How to tie?
Step 1: Fold the scarf in half lengthwise (or quadruple for a wide scarf).
Step 2: Put it on your head
Step 3. Cross the ends of the scarf together and wrap around the neck.
Step 4: Hide them under the coat, spreading the scarf evenly along the collar.

2. Weave into hair
If you can boast of long and lush hair - try it. For dark hair, choose more juicy shades of a scarf, and pastel colors are ideal for blondes.

Suitable scarf type: narrow silk or chiffon scarf up to 200 cm long
So:
1. Divide the tail into two strands;
2. Divide the scarf into two equal ends;
3. Fasten the scarf at the base of the tail, releasing the two free ends;
4. Twist each end of the scarf evenly along each strand;
5. Secure the hairstyle by tying the ends of the scarf at the bottom with a regular bow.

3. French style bow
Suitable for sophisticated style and a set of coat-skirt-heels (again, sophisticated).
The color can, of course, be chosen not in the style of Charlotte Brontë's characters - the photo is just for reference.

In this design, a plain satin black or beige or pale pink scarf will look good.
Suitable scarf type: narrow, 1.5 meters long, silk.

4. Scarf-tie
A shawl or scarf tied in this way goes well with a classic suit.

1. Throw a scarf or scarf around your neck so that one end is longer than the other.
2. Wrap the long end around the short end and pull it up under the scarf and down through the loop formed. Tighten the knot and straighten the ends of the scarf. You can tie a scarf even easier.
3. Tie a loose knot at one end of the scarf and pull the other end through it.

Whoever does not quite understand option A - there is option B. Here, as it were, everything is clear.

Suitable scarf type: thin, long and better not wavy. One-color silk will do.

By the way, in order not to bother too much, the designers came up with a ready-made version of a scarf-tie

5. Tie with a brooch
This feminine way to tie a scarf is perfect for "cowboy" style or when you decide on a deep neckline in cold weather.

To do this, you will need a warm short scarf. It should be non-slip and hold its shape well. Just wrap it around your neck several times, pin the end with a pin or brooch, and straighten the second one. Voila!

6. Hide the knot
In general, this option is quite simple, the main thing in it is to hide the knot. Take a pashmina scarf (sold in subway passages) and follow the instructions.

7. Beautiful bow

Here you need a silk scarf of medium length (1.5 m).

8. Weaving loop

This method can be done with a not very wide and not very short scarf of almost any material.

9. Fixed scarf
A scarf can be tied around the waist instead of a belt. Or tie around the neck, and then into a knot again.

You can fasten it with a belt at the waist - it's fashionable now (on the very first photo, above). Long scarves will do.

10. Mix
For example, by combining black and white scarves, you can get an amazing result! White color in this case makes a good accent.

You can try mixing and colored scarves.

Everyone loves sneakers. And not just sneakers. Lots of shoes with laces. Want to stand out and be creative? Write down 10 ways to tie your shoelaces in an original way.

Straight lacing.

This option is one of the traditional lacing methods and is suitable for shoes with an even number of pairs of holes. Laces must be tied in straight parallel lines along the entire length of the boot.

First you need to thread both ends of the lace through the holes and take it inside the boot. Then pass the right end through the right hole on the second row, bringing it out, and thread it into the opposite left hole on the same row.

After that, the left end of the lace must be brought into the left hole on the third row and thrown to the right hole on the same row. The right end must be inserted into the left hole of the fourth row with the end outward and transferred to the opposite hole.

In the given technique, lace up the boots to the last row, tying the ends into a knot.

Cross lacing.

The most common option is when the left and right ends of the lace cross each other along the entire length of the boot. First you need to pass the lace through the two lower holes and bring it out.

Then flip the ends of the lace and insert into opposite holes. Thus, tie the laces to the very last holes. The ends of the laces are tied in a knot. This method is considered the simplest and most convenient.

Lacing ladder.

The next method is also called European straight lacing. In this case, the lace must be threaded into the lower holes with the ends inward. Then throw the left end to the right side and bring it out, skipping one hole.

Then thread it through the hole on the opposite side of the boot. Thread the right end of the lace into the left hole, bring it out and throw it to the opposite hole.

Then repeat the same steps as with the left end. Thus, straight lines will go from above, and cross lines - from below.

Double reverse lacing.

In the presented method, only long shoelaces can be tied. Start lacing from the top holes. Pass both laces through the holes on the second row from the top with the ends inward and pull them down.

Then throw it outward, crossing between each other, and also pass the ends inward, skipping one row of holes. Having reached the penultimate row, pull the laces inward, cross each other and thread through the holes.

Then bring the ends out and repeat the steps from the very beginning, now tying the laces from the bottom up. Tie the ends of the lace into a knot.

Nodal segment lacing.

Lacing method with an unusual knot in the middle. This little trick increases the strength of the lacing. On the first row, thread the ends of the lace through the holes and bring them out.

Then cross the laces together and thread them through the holes of the top row. Having thus reached the middle of the boot, form a reef knot. It looks like a double knot: first tie a simple knot, placing the left end of the lace over the right, then make the same knot from above, only placing the right end over the left.

Continue to tie the laces in a cross way to the last row.

Bow tie.

This method got its name because of the similarity in appearance with a bow tie. In this case, the laces run criss-cross on the outside of the boot, and inside they stretch in straight lines upwards.

First you need to skip the lace along the bottom row, threading the ends inward through the holes. Then stretch both ends vertically upwards, and bring them out into the holes on the second row. Thus, a "gap" is formed on the lacing.

Cross the free ends with each other and thread through the next pair of holes. In this technique, lace up to the end. On the last row, tie the free ends in a knot.

Spiral lacing with a long diagonal.

The lace is threaded into the holes of the bottom row, ends inward. The left end should be much longer than the right end. Then the left end is thrown up in the opposite direction and output through the right hole of the topmost row.

The right end is threaded up into the hole on the left side on the second row. Then it must be inserted into the opposite hole on the right, and again stretched to the left hole already on the third row.

Thus, the entire boot is laced up to the last row. The free ends of the lace are tied in a knot.

Spiral lacing.

It's also a fairly easy way to tie your shoelaces and doesn't take much time. Pass the left end of the lace into the hole of the first row, bringing it out, and the right end, on the contrary, letting it in.

Then insert the left end into the right hole on the second row, and the right end, respectively, into the left. After lacing the last row, thread both laces through the upper holes and bring them out, tying them into a knot.

Checkered lacing.

Quite an interesting and original version of lacing using two laces of different colors. This method will require flat wide laces. Pass the same color of lace through the holes of the bottom row and tie to the end using the “straight lacing with a hidden knot” method.

Pass the lace of a different color through the resulting horizontal rows using the plain weave method, creating a checkerboard look. Tie the laces over the entire surface so that both ends are at the bottom, after which they must be hidden inside the boot.

Lattice lacing.

This method is suitable for shoes with at least six pairs of holes. The ends of the lace are threaded into the holes of the bottom row and brought out. Then they must be crossed among themselves and threaded through the holes, skipping two rows.

On the inside of the boot, the laces go down and are threaded through the holes of the second row, then pulled up again. In this technique, you need to continue lacing to the last row. The ends of the laces are tied in a knot.

These are the original ways of tying shoelaces? Which one did you like better? Take notes!

The skill of tying a tie is useful to master not only for men, but also for their caring girls and wives. There are dozens of ways to tie a tie. They differ in technique, the thickness of the knot and the complexity of execution, they are united by one thing - the result: a man in a tie looks irresistible. Relax.by has selected for you the most popular ways to tie a tie - from the simplest to the most intricate - and picked up tips on how not to make a mistake in choosing a shirt and suit.

Throw the wide end over the thin one, wrap the wide end around the thin one, and then bring it out from below to the right side.

The wide end should be on top. You need to go into the resulting bezel. Now you have to move it to the left side.

In other words, one part of the tie must be brought in after another, while making a full circle, and then leading into a loop around the neck.

You have a double loop. You need to thread the wide part of the tie through it, resulting in a simple knot.

7. A black tie and shirt are at the same time suitable exclusively for a mourning ceremony.
8. Length of the tie: it should just reach the buckle of the belt or the button of the pants.

1. Unfold the wide end of the tie with the seam out.
2. We skip the wide end under the narrow one.
3. Then we put a wide end on it.
4. We put the active end of the tie into the neck loop from below.
5. We stretch the wide end into the eye formed after the 4th step.
6. Lower the wide end down to tighten the tie knot. We get a simple node.
To adjust the diameter of the neck loop, move the knot along the thin end.

quarter knot

Named after the 19th century gentlemen's club Four-in-Hand. In Russia, it is better known as a quarter. This is the reigning tie champion. Its popularity is due to its simplicity and versatility.

1. We tie the tie around the neck so that the wide end is on the right and the thin end is on the left, while the front side of the tie is on top. When tying, we use only the active (wide) end.
2. We cross the wide end with the narrow one, while the wide one is above the narrow one.
3. We start the wide end of the tie under the narrow one.
4. Do it again.
5. Pass the wide end of the tie into the neck loop from the bottom up from the inside.

3. Pass end A into the neck loop.
4. Fold end B in half to form a bow, and lay across end A.
5. Lower end A down to the middle of the bow that was made in the 4th step.
6. Holding end B, fold end A right side together as shown in the diagram and squeeze in a bend.
7. Pull folded end A through the loop behind end B.
8. We take the bow by the two ends and pull in different directions to tighten the knot.
9. We correct to achieve symmetry.
10. Your butterfly is ready!

Pratt

The inventor of the knot, Jerry Pratt, worked for the US Chamber of Commerce. For 30 years, Pratt tied his own tie in a different knot before host Don Shelby "discovered" it and talked about it on local television in 1989.

Eldridge (difficult but effective)

"Eldridge" - non-standard, complex and spectacular tie knot, which is tied in 15 steps. It was invented by Jeffrey Eldridge in 2007 and quickly became popular. Unlike the vast majority of tie knots, the Eldredge is tied by moving the narrow end.

1. Place the tie around the neck with the right side out. The end of the wide end should rest over the belt buckle. When tying, move only the narrow end.
2. We cross the narrow and wide ends, while the narrow one should be located on top.
3. We wrap the narrow end on the other side, wrapping the wide one on the inside.
4. Raise the narrow end up over the neck loop.
5. We pass the narrow end through the neck loop from top to bottom and bring it to the side opposite to step No. 3.
6. We put the narrow end on the wide one and put it into the neck loop from the bottom up.
7. We lower the narrow end raised up after the 6th step down to the opposite side and wind it up behind the wide end on the reverse side. At this step, do not tighten the knot.
8. We wrap the narrow end on the other side and put it into the loop formed after the 7th step.
9. Tighten the knot by pulling the narrow end to the side.
10. Pass the active end through the neck loop from top to bottom on one side.
11. Once again through the neck loop from top to bottom, while the narrow end should be on the reverse side. We do not tighten the knot.
12. We wrap the narrow end to the other side and insert it into the loop formed after the 11th step.
13. Pull on the thin end to tighten the knot.
14. Hide the rest of the narrow end behind the neck loop.
15. The Eldridge assembly is ready. Let others envy!
